California Alexander Valley Blue Rock Estate A whirlwind visit to see Kenny Kahn in February was well worth it to hear about his latest projects. Kenny and his wife Cheryl recently purchased land in Sonoma’s coastal region, close to the Petaluma Gap, with a view to making fine Pinot Noir. The 30 acres of virgin land were being prepared for planting in spring so it will be at least three years before any wines are made. The couple has owned Blue Rock Estate at Cloverdale since 1987, and have fully restored the historic property and buildings. It is beautiful and well worth a visit if going to Alexander Valley.
