Cisadane International Dragon Boat Festival 2018 cordially invites Crews from around the
world to participate in our dragon boat race which will be held at the Cisadane River , Tangerang
Indonesia on 25-26 August 2018. This event is fully supported by the Banten State
Government and is an affiliated festival of the International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF).
For your information,
INTRODUCTION
The name of “Tangerang” comes from the Sundanese language which means “Tanda” or
"Signs" in english. Tangerang city was originally part of the district of Tangerang. Along with the
growth of government area through the Act. Number 22 of 1999 on the change of Municipality
to City, then the status of Tangerang Municipality turned into Tangerang City.
The location of Tangerang City is very strategic because it’s located between the capital city of
DKI Jakarta, district of Tangerang, South Tangerang, Depok and Bogor. With a total area of
17,730 HA, Tangerang City is the largest city in the province of Banten and the third largest city
in JABODETABEK (stands for Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi) urban area after
Jakarta City. Tangerang City is led by Mayor H. Arief R. Wismansyah. B.Sc. M.Kes.
TANGERANG CITY GOVERNMENT CENTER BUILDING
Tangerang City Government Center located at Jalan Satria
Sudirman with an area of approximately 8 hectares is a public
service of Tangerang City, there are 65 regional work unit, 13
sub-district and 104 urban village covering to serve the people
of Tangerang City in particular.
THE 10 WATER GATES
The 10 Water Gates was built in 1927 and is one of the Dutch
heritage located in Sangego, Karawaci sub-district of Tangerang.
As the name implies, this dam has ten water gates that stem and
regulate the Cisadane River with the width of each door is ten
meters.
AL-AZHOM MOSQUE

Al - A'zhom Mosque, located on Jalan Satria Sudirman, stands
on 2 hectares of land and is able to accommodate more than
15,000 people. This mosque is the largest and grandest mosque
in Tangerang City, the uniqueness of this mosque is it's shapedblue
dome that stacked buffer each other. Libraries, study rooms,
and mihrab rooms are also available at this mosque.

CISADANE SWAY DANCE
Cisadane sway dance is one of Tangerang culture. From some
long-standing culture in Tangerang such as Gambang Kromong,
Lenong, and Barongsai (lion dance), this dance was just created
and newly ratified in 2011 by the Department of Youth, Culture and
Tourism.
BOEN TEK BIO
Boen Tek Bio is located at Jalan Bhakti No, 14, Sukasari,
Tangerang, Banten. BoenTekBio was estimated to be established
around 1684 by Kampung Petak Sembilan villagers. The first
establishment of a simple building of semi-permanent buildings.
When the beginning of the 17th century changed the building
temple because the trade route around the Cisadane River area
began to crowded.
GAJAH TUNGGAL PARK
The Gajah Tunggal park is located on Jl. Pahlawan Seribu,
Cikokol, Tangerang. The park includes 6,066m 2 of green space,
a 307m 2 mosque, and 1,678m 2 concrete road access. The
unique thing about this place is there are a thousand tires that
adorn this park.
PASAR LAMA
Pasar Lama is a folk market that is now preferred by the citizens
of Tangerang City. This market is not very visible from the main
road, located behind the shop buildings. The stuff they offered
here have good quality but cheaper than supermarket’s price.
This market is molded by all kinds of food merchandise, so for
those who want culinary tour in Tangerang, you can simply visit
this place, especially at night. In this market is very complete and
allows you to find fish, squid, fish, squid, crab, vegetables, fruits, and seasoning.

TAMAN POTRET
Taman Portret located on Jalan Sudirman, Tangerang City,
is an amusement and recreation park for residents or
visitors of Tangerang City. The park that serves as one of
the public spaces in Tangerang City is usually visited by
hundreds of visitors who make the atmosphere of the
Portrait Garden to be crowded. The fineness of Taman
Portret attracts visitors to spend time with relatives and
family.

INFORMATION
The organizing committee wish to invite you to participate in The Dragon Boat International
Open 2018. The Dragon Boat International Open 2018 will be held from 25 nd to 26 th Augst at
Cisadane river, Tangerang, Indonesia.
Competing crews are encouraged to arrive in Tangerang not later than Saturday, 24 st Augst
2018.

The above programme is provisional and is provided to assist crews with their initial planning.
The programme is subject to change.
Hosting Packages
The distance from Soekarno - Hatta Airport to Tangerang City is approximately 30 minutes. For
International and National teams will be picked up by the committee and guided to an approved
hotel. The committee will also pick up all teams that do not get transport facilities from their
respective hotels to attend technical meetings and when the tournament begins.
ACOMMODATION AND LOCAL TRANSPORTATION
For all participants, the Organizing Committee does not prepare accommodation and
Consumption during the games but the Organizing Committee can help facilitate and
recommend the Hotel or Lodge based on Team ability and close to the location of the venue.

according to the schedule that has been informed to the Committee from and to Soeta Airport
to the location of the inn and the match
