Broadcast quality long shotgun microphones are perfect for
a wide range of Electronic Field Production (EFP) & Electronic
News-gathering (ENG) applications - their high directionality
and narrow pick-up pattern really help to capture distant
sound, and enables the picking-out of specific sounds in a noisy
environment.
Being so highly directional, these extended range long
shotgun mics are particularly sensitive to wind noise (natural
and induced). Rycote has a range of professional products for
mounting long mics, and protecting them from the effects of
