Versatile Controls for Fab-Line Integration and OEM
The DiNY laser family of products all
contain a state-of-the-art microprocessor
controlling all laser
functions in real time.
User interaction is obtained by the
RS232 interface from any PC. All
basic laser parameters such as pulse
energy and pulse frequency, can be
set via the interface. The laser’s
operation is controlled by a set of
more than 40 high level language
ASCII commands. Detailed status
information on laser temperatures,
flow rate and input characteristics
can be sent to any external computer
for viewing status.
Available software functions are
• external / internal trigger
• external / internal gate
• burst mode
• single shot emission
Logic-gates control the power
electronics directly and in real time.
The gates safeguard proper laser
operation, even if there is inconsistent
input from the operator or the
controlling PC.
Parameters are derived from the customers
process and stored. The laser
control then handles the internal
processes in a sub-µs regime, as
needed by the laser physics. With
these parameters set, the whole
system can exclusively be controlled
without a PC by fast analogue or
TTL-digital output, e.g. from
CNC-machinery.
With IB-Laser´s open-system-design
and firmware, many operational
tasks in an industrial environment
can be programmed into the laser
controller, instead of requiring
additional hardware.
