Teacher Information 

The following is a development plan using one of the pages in this book. It is an 

example of how the activities in this book could be introduced, developed and 

extended. 

Introducing Work 

Introduce the children to the phonic sounds ‘ung’ and ‘ang’ giving some examples of 

words which explain these sounds. Encourage discussion and brainstorming in which 

children are required to offer other words which may have these sounds.
