Sheila talks how Tupperware<br />
helped her as a single mom<br />
I’ve been with Tupperware for 17 years, and for me, the most important<br />
thing as a single mom has been the flexibility. My thirteen-year-old son<br />
goes to a magnet school, and I can pick him up and work around his<br />
school hours. I make my own schedule, and I love that.<br />
But what I love most is that I get to<br />
encourage other women. When I was<br />
going through my divorce I felt like,<br />
as a woman, I failed at something. I<br />
questioned if I was worthy of talking to<br />
other women about the Opportunity.<br />
But then I decided I wanted to be the<br />
poster child of what success could<br />
look like. And that’s what I feel like I’ve<br />
done. I concentrated on my business,<br />
and was offered the opportunity to be<br />
a Business Leader as a single mom,<br />
which meant so much to me because it<br />
gives me the chance to really empower<br />
other women. Whether it’s divorce, or<br />
sickness—we all go through things.<br />
And I want to show women they can<br />
overcome their challenges.<br />
My mother was a single mother as well.<br />
She was my hero growing up. I grew<br />
up in an inner city, and my mother was<br />
so protective and really wanted me to<br />
finish my education, which I did. She<br />
always encouraged me to take care<br />
of myself. She wanted better for me.<br />
And my mom loves her Tupperware<br />
products now, and my family is very<br />
proud of me as an entrepreneur.<br />
