Precautions you should take before and after flooring installation<br />
Moving to a new house or renovating the house means that even flooring needs to be changed.<br />
There are various reasons as to why one should replace the flooring while moving to a new<br />
home. A new flooring gives a new look to the house. There are different varieties of flooring like<br />
wood flooring, artificial grass, laminate flooring and many more. Moreover, it is necessary to<br />
have some precautions before installing new carpet in the house. The precautions vary<br />
according to the type of flooring. Some of the types of flooring along with the precautions are<br />
stated below.<br />
1. Wood flooring: Wood flooring is one of those floorings which never goes out of trend. One of<br />
the most popular floorings, wood flooring, can remain beautiful even after years of installation<br />
if proper care and maintenance are there. Before having a wood flooring, the subfloor should<br />
be well set. The plywood, flooring surface should be well maintained. There should not be any<br />
cracks or broken edges. Even after the installation, wood flooring requires well maintenance.<br />
One should avoid moisture in the wood flooring. Heavy furniture should not be dragged on the<br />
floor, and it should be protected from harmful rays. Moreover, it's better to have this flooring<br />
installed where there won't be much moisture. Everyday sweeping is necessary and should be<br />
kept protected from wood mites that may harm the wood flooring. If these precautions are<br />
followed, then one can experience the beauty of wood flooring even after years.
2. Laminate flooring: A person who cannot maintain a wood flooring but wants to have an<br />
alternative which can be easy to maintain, should go for laminate flooring. A perfect alternative<br />
to wood flooring, laminate flooring is the replica of wood flooring and is easy to maintain. The<br />
only requirement before installing this flooring is to have a level subfloor so that the height<br />
remains the same. Before installing, all electronics and furniture should be removed. After the<br />
laminate flooring is done, make sure to clean it properly. One can use a mop or broom or even<br />
vacuum cleaner for cleaning the floor. Laminate flooring does not require any high<br />
maintenance as in the case of wood flooring. It does not get easily damaged by water or<br />
moisture too.
3. Tile flooring: Tile flooring is one of the most common and long-lasting types of flooring.<br />
Though it also requires some maintenance for making it long lasting. Before tile flooring, one<br />
should make sure that the subfloor is hard and of equal level. It is considered that a subfloor of<br />
cement or mortar would be suitable for tile flooring. The subfloor requires to be of an equal<br />
level which, if avoided can result in the problem while applying the tiles. Even after the flooring<br />
is done, it is required that there should be proper mopping and cleaning so that the debris can<br />
be thrown away.<br />
These were some of the types of flooring. The even artificial grass is considered a kind of<br />
flooring which is done to give an effect of a garden. It is mostly used in metro cities. Moreover,<br />
all these precautions should be kept in mind to keep the flooring long lasting and beautiful.<br />
