Gala Special With so much happening in the run up and over the Gala weekend we’ve dedicated the next 8 pages to it. The most welcome guest was the fabulous weather! Jason did a great job as ever opening the Gala and judging the Dogs (& one Tortoise!) in the Pet Show. Dave the Dog led a very entertaining Dog Agility. Spaldwick School entertained us with their singing and led a very enjoyable maypole dance. Magic Dave kept the children entertained while parents could enjoy the Bar, Barbeque and stalls. A wide range of traditional & stalls including Tombola, Defi brillator awareness, Water & Wine, Cakes, Target Golf, Coconut Shy, Candy Floss & Bat the Rat. Sam Malt did a great display of village memorabilia. The Classic Cars had their own special area with special chequered fl ag bunting. Gala Day - Evening The evening kicked off with Eclipse, a band we have had previously in a different formation as Maid of Ale & Vertigo. They played three full sets which meant we didn’t have space for a Disco. A very successful raffl e added to Gala funds signifi cantly. After limited initial interest it was great to see that Ellington really has “Got Talent” Well done to all the participants and thank you for entertaining us all. 201 Pull ou
