The second annual Metrowest<br />
Conference for Women will<br />
convene at the Sheraton Framingham<br />
on Thursday, <strong>September</strong><br />
20, with a VIP reception on the<br />
evening of the 19th. The ticket<br />
price of $52 includes breakfast,<br />
lunch, two keynote sessions,<br />
breakout sessions, access to the<br />
Career Center with resume reviews,<br />

Opioid Awareness Day on<br />
August 31:<br />
SOAR <strong>Natick</strong> (Supporting<br />
Outreach and Addiction Recovery)<br />
and The Journey (<strong>Natick</strong> Bereavement<br />
group) are presenting<br />
a purple flag display from August<br />
24th through <strong>September</strong> 1st. The<br />
event is sponsored by the <strong>Natick</strong><br />
Opioid Task Force and is being<br />
hosted by the First Congregational<br />
Church in <strong>Natick</strong> (2 East<br />
Central Street). Volunteers will<br />
place 1,874 purple flags on the<br />
lawn of the church to represent<br />
the number of Massachusetts<br />
residents who died from an opioid<br />
overdose in the year 2017.<br />
There will also be 7 red flags to<br />
represent the number of <strong>Natick</strong><br />
residents who have died from an<br />
opioid overdose in 2017.
