Kathy, please explain the role of our Fellowship Fund and how it functions.<br />
The Fellowship Fund is a program designed to help families in need with rental assistance, help paying a utility<br />
bill, and access to our food pantry. Funds for this program are provided by our church members (thank you all<br />
very much!). Food items are purchased for a very nominal cost through our local Blue Ridge Area Food Bank and<br />
many items are free. For example, the week of August 20 we purchased three varieties of fresh salad greens,<br />
breaded whole grain chicken strips and frozen whole chickens for an amazing $3! Several months ago we applied<br />
for and were granted a brand new upright freezer. This freezer currently resides in the CEB at the rear of our<br />
fellowship hall. Our food pantry is available to anyone in need. We serve those with appointments each<br />
Wednesday as well as anyone who calls our office and requests help. We are thankful to all those who have made<br />
this program possible.<br />
