Highlights of the sale include a selection of very specialized Great Britain ‘PENNY BLACK’ issues; the collection was formed in the pre-1940s, and has not been available to the market until this sale. The selections include ‘jumbo’ singles, a ‘V-R’, unused Blocks-of-4 (in two marging copies, each with a part inscription), an unused Strip-of-5, numercal oblits, and much else of merit.
