As Salamu Alaikum<br />
For over 20 years, the Educational Projects and Information Technology Portfolio (<strong>EPIT</strong>) has<br />
built an outstanding reputation based on its services and commitment to client satisfaction.<br />
<strong>EPIT</strong> is an innovator in introducing quality standards in language learning, primary school<br />
management, higher educational diploma level training, and manpower services. Our continuing<br />
success is based on understanding our clients and individual students, our approach based on<br />
listening, caring, and evaluating core needs.<br />
Our dedicated team of diploma lecturers, language trainers, primary school teachers, and<br />
manpower supply specialists are led by the <strong>EPIT</strong> management team who select only the best in<br />
their field and supervise both internal training and personal development so that all <strong>EPIT</strong> staff<br />
reach their full potential.<br />
<strong>EPIT</strong> has a full spectrum capability to deliver its services at every level of the educational<br />
system, from primary school students at our Dar Al Maarefa and Al Aloum Schools, to diploma<br />
students at our Institute of Industrial Management and Information Technology (IIMIT), and on to<br />
English language learners who study with our International house (IH) schools, or in house with our<br />
leading industrial clients. Because <strong>EPIT</strong> has built up a solid reputation in industry for language<br />
training, and drawing upon its technical training expertise and Mechanical Workshop which it runs,<br />
<strong>EPIT</strong> has expanded its services to include not only manpower training, but manpower recruitment<br />
under <strong>EPIT</strong>’s Mowaten Office for Employment Services.<br />
As Saudi Arabia enters the post oil age and looks forward to achieving its 2030 vision, <strong>EPIT</strong><br />
aims to expand its status as one of the most dynamic and innovative educational consortiums by<br />
preparing Saudi youth and employees for the challenges of the 21 st century and globalization.<br />

The Educational Projects and Information Technology (<strong>EPIT</strong>) foundation is the<br />
policy making and strategic coordination initiative behind the components that<br />
compromise our organization. <strong>EPIT</strong> is a 100% Saudi private company founded to<br />
establish, manage, and operate Educational and Technology training institutions within<br />
the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and aboard. Our organization is active in diverse fields and<br />
<strong>EPIT</strong> provides synergy between operations. <strong>EPIT</strong> also has legal standing and represents<br />
our organization with the Ministry of Education and Technical and Vocational Training<br />
Corporation (TVTC) as well as the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF).<br />
<strong>EPIT</strong> is the driving force in establishing our mission and vision as well as providing<br />
a forum by which our organization interfaces with its investors. The Institute of<br />
Industrial Management and Information Technology (IIMIT) and Dhahran Languages<br />
Institute (operation as an International House affiliate in Saudi Arabia) are private<br />
educational and training institutions in Dhahran established in 1995 owned and operated<br />
by Educational Projects and Information Technology Ltd. (<strong>EPIT</strong>).
English Language Training<br />
Since 2001, International House Saudi Arabia, the <strong>EPIT</strong> English language affiliation, has<br />
offered new standards of service as an English provider, more course options, and a<br />
preeminent role in the provision of English language services to Saudi industry. From the<br />
perspective of the Kingdom’s industrial sector, International House is a pioneer in the field of<br />
customized, innovative English language programs. International House (IH) also works in the<br />
<strong>EPIT</strong> managed Institute of Industrial Management and Information Technology where it offers<br />
a wide variety of courses including government training, ESP courses, a 2 year Diploma in<br />
English and courses at all levels for the general public and Young Learners.<br />
IH Saudi Arabia is fully affiliated to the International House World Organization.<br />
Established in 1953, the UK based International House World Organization is an English<br />
teaching network of affiliated schools all of which share to common goal of raising teaching<br />
standards. IH is the world’s most important teacher training organization.<br />
Globally, IH’s turnover is the highest of any English language teaching organization. In<br />
Saudi Arabia, IH has expanded faster than any other competitor since 2003, its growth<br />
sustainable due to the high number of satisfied customers who have chosen to stay with us<br />
for many years- including SABIC, SASREF, YANPET, and many others.<br />
IH, under the <strong>EPIT</strong> Foundation, has operated in Saudi Arabia for 15 years and has trained<br />
thousands of students at all levels of English. Our clients include the Kingdom’s top<br />
companies.<br />
IH field projects have run all over Saudi Arabia with the IH Head Office in Dammam and<br />
our main school for industry in Jubail Industry City.
International House & Preparatory Year Studies<br />
IH assists orientation programs with initial placing according to CEF<br />
benchmarks.<br />
IH conducts a college curriculum analysis to define the role of English<br />
language training within the college’s wider academic structure.<br />
IH assesses the needs of all stakeholders and consults with all parties,<br />
including technical and scientific staff.<br />
IH assess the need for any ESP element within English training.<br />
IH designs the English language curriculum with a focus on needs<br />
based skills.<br />
IH designs the assessment system .<br />
IH assists with the development of course materials. These will often<br />
add an extra level of development to student skills, constitute an ESP<br />
component, or consist of bridging support material for those courses<br />
taught by the technical, science, vocational, or business trainers and<br />
industry specialists.<br />
IH establishes a student reporting system.
ELT Project Management Background<br />
IH has operated the English language unit at YANPET in Yanbu Industrial<br />
City<br />
since 2004 working as an in-house provider.<br />
In Jubail Industrial City, where IH has taught SABIC employees on an<br />
ongoing contract since 2004, while thousands have studied at IH Jubail at<br />
our own 20 class facility, many others have been taught in house with<br />
clients ranging from SAFCO to Bin Zagr.<br />
IH has managed the English programs in house for companies such as<br />
SIPCHEM, APC, SASREF, SAMREF and many others.<br />
The Aramco run Khafji Joint Operations Company (KJO) established an<br />
English Language Program in 2009 which was fully managed by IH on a 5<br />
year contract.

IH assesses training needs and maps language competencies against<br />
the existing HR framework.<br />
IH benchmarks the job grades of employees to the English training<br />

IH designs a complete English training academic learning system<br />
stating hours, levels, international standards, and learning outcomes.<br />
IH designs the courses and selects training materials<br />
IH works with company departments to establish a sustainable training<br />

IH recruits, inducts, and monitors teachers and their lessons.<br />
IH installs self-access learning options and eLearning technology<br />
IH operates the placement testing and language assessment system for<br />

Institute of Industrial Management &<br />
Information Technology (IIMIT)<br />
IIMIT has established an excellent academic reputation and is<br />
under the supervision of the Technical and Vocational Training<br />
Corporation (TVTC). IIMIT is affiliated with high profile universities in the<br />
west with strong relationships with Cambridge University, Hull<br />
University, Bradford University and City & Guilds in the area of Technical<br />
Training. IIMIT diploma graduates have gone on to exciting careers in<br />
the leading companies of Saudi Arabia, including SABIC, usually in<br />
Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Management<br />
and Technical Training.
College and Preparatory Year<br />
Management Background<br />
IIMIT’s PYP year which has run since 1997 and was originally modeled on<br />
KFUPM. The Orientation Year provides a solid basis for academic study<br />
taking students to B2 on the CEF over 3 semesters.<br />
IH’s industrial experience in dealing with large classes of students<br />
between the ages of 18-23 on Operators’ Programs for industry.<br />
Thousands of students taught since 2004 and HRDF since 2001 on<br />
technical and vocational programs with an initial preparatory foundation<br />
in English to B1 on the CEF.<br />
IH manages the English department of the Higher Institute of Elastomer<br />
Industries (College of Excellence) and has run this project since 2013.
Mowaten Office for Employment Services<br />
Operating in the Eastern Province since 2000, the <strong>EPIT</strong> established the recruitment service<br />
to bridge the educational system with Saudi industry.<br />
In terms of <strong>EPIT</strong>’s commitment to local communities, the recruitment office performs the<br />
important function of advising, registering, and placing Saudi graduates and jobless high<br />
school leavers with those companies who need their services. The Mowaten Recruitment<br />
Office matches the skills set applicants have with those needed by industry as it expands its<br />
Saudi labor force as a result of Saudization and economic diversification within the<br />
economy.<br />
The process involves screening, testing, registration, and job placing.<br />
In the 16 years of its operations, Mowaten has placed 5000 candidates into permanent<br />
employment with both local and international companies.<br />
The recruitment office works with the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) where<br />
<strong>EPIT</strong> training those who need to improve their skills at the Institute of Industrial<br />
Management where they commonly study English and soft skills subjects prior to<br />
commencing technical training at the <strong>EPIT</strong> run Mechanical Workshop. Once trainees begin<br />
enter the workplace, Mowaten assists companies with the documentation needed to<br />
recoup initial salary costs on a fixed percentage basis for up to 2 years.<br />
Mowaten runs frequent recruitment drives by newspaper ad, sms texts, the internet, and<br />
local newspaper advertising.
Dar Al Maarefa and Dar Al Aloum Schools<br />
Established in 1996, the schools form a joint schools project within <strong>EPIT</strong> for<br />
both boys and girls education. Both schools are MOE licensed and provide<br />
first class learning opportunities based on the Saudi national curriculum.<br />
The schools are located in a densely populated part of Khobar and with 700<br />
students served by 60 teachers and 30 support staff, <strong>EPIT</strong> offers vital support<br />
to the educational infrastructure of a large and growing community.<br />
The schools are not only running at full capacity, they have earned an<br />
excellent reputation for educational standards with a focus on individual<br />
learners and personal development.<br />
Pupils study at KG level, Elementary School level and Intermediate school<br />
level.<br />
As part of <strong>EPIT</strong>’s commitment to the community, the schools are involved in<br />
many extracurricular activities including sports, scientific, and cultural events.
Valued Clients<br />
<strong>EPIT</strong> has worked with the leading companies in Saudi Arabia, especially those in the oil, gas, and<br />
petrochemical sectors.<br />
International House has a solid client base in the industrial cities of Jubail and Yanbu where IH<br />
teachers have been working since 2004. IH has a solid client base in both industrial cities where its work<br />
is highly regarded in the field of English language training with a special focus on Technical and<br />
Business English courses.<br />
IH has trained thousands of SABIC students in both Jubail and Yanbu. IH has run multiple in<br />
house projects including in Khafji, for ARAMCO, where IH exclusively ran the English Language Program<br />
5 years.<br />
IH has trained thousands of apprentices under the Human Resources Development Program<br />
(HRDF) since 2001.
