KidsMatter
Campbell Primary School works under the KidsMatter Primary mental health and wellbeing framework.
KidsMatter provides the methods, tools and support to help our school work with parents and carers, health
services and the wider community to nurture happy, balanced kids.
As part of this initiative Campbell Primary School has a KidsMatter Action team consisting of parents, our
school psychologist, chaplain, teachers and executive team members, who meet on a regular basis.
The Highway Heroes program is an evidence-based, whole school initiative that aims to teach our students
the importance of resilience and problem solving as tools to aid their social and emotional learning. Students
are also taught the importance of feeling safe at all times through a Protective Behaviours education program.
Teaching preventative strategies is a proactive way to strengthen children’s ability to keep themselves safe
and minimise risk.
We also have a ‘KidsMatter Information Hub’ accessible at school assemblies and events that is regularly
stocked with resources for parents. For your interest, we have attached a copy of this month’s focus, Children
and Bullying. More information sheets can be downloaded by following this link:
