How does it all work?<br />
Thea: There is a lot of prep that goes into each show, we<br />
spend time with the buyers, deciding the best deals and<br />
products for each show – we spend a lot of time looking<br />
at what colours the QVC customers love. We have a range<br />
of shows we select products for, anything from a 5 minute<br />
generic show to a one hour branded special. Once the<br />
products are selected the fun starts on getting all the<br />
products sent in, photographed, setting prices and getting<br />
everyone excited on our social media page thealou_orly.<br />

What happens when you arrive on set ?<br />
Thea: We have to arrive on set at least 2 hours before a<br />
live show, this is so we can get glammed up, mic’d up and<br />
prepare for the show ahead. We help dress the set with the<br />
QVC team – receive our running agenda and prepare our<br />
model with the amazing colours and treatments for the<br />
show….We meet with the directors and producers to talk<br />
camera angles and demos. We have to wear clothes that<br />
match the collections we are selling that day so there are lots<br />
of costume changes from one pink outfit to the next until we<br />
get it right!<br />
Do you ever get nervous?<br />
Thea: I was really nervous the first show as it was all so new<br />
to us as because we are quite a confident duo everyone<br />
thought we have been doing it for a while, but I don’t really<br />
get nervous now, I do however get nervous about saying the<br />
wrong thing! The presenters are so friendly you feel like you<br />
can chat to them about anything – I have to remember I am<br />
on TV sometimes! I am passionate about the ORLY brand<br />
and truly believe that it is the best so I find it easy to talk<br />
about all our products - I love the adrenaline buzz and the<br />
brand reception to ORLY.<br />
Lou: The pressure is real, with live shows anything can go<br />
wrong so there are always nerves. Thea is my wingman,<br />
but the actual demo is down to me and it has to work – no<br />
mistakes – you cant hide a badly painted nail on air as the<br />
cameras ‘zoom’ in. We have an ear piece so the director can<br />
tell me if I’m not in the right position with the models hands<br />
or to hurry up or slow down the demo.<br />
Has anything ever happened behind the scenes – dish the<br />
dirt?<br />
Thea: Louise and I quite enjoy celebrity spotting behind the<br />
scenes! We have met Lulu and Lisa Snowdon recently who<br />
present their own shows! We are far too professional to ask<br />
for a selfie though! Ha ha
