As part of their growing collection of <strong>eco</strong> friendly fibres, Hyosung are highlighting the
creora ® <strong>eco</strong> collection including creora ® H-550 and MIPAN ® regen recycled nylon and
polyester, for the swim and intimate markets at Paris Mode City. Hyosung, the s<strong>eco</strong>nd
largest spandex producer in the world, has care for the environment embedded in their
corporate philosophy and is <strong>focus</strong>ed on offering fibres for textiles that have reduced
environmental impact.

spandex for saving energy in knitting.
H-550 gives fabrics soft touch, reduces
yellowing, delivers whiter whites and results
in less fabric curling with improved molding
and chlorine resistance. An additional fabric
manufacturer benefit is the ability to re-dye
and over-dye without losing power.
<strong>creora®</strong> <strong>eco</strong>/H-550, with its reduced
energy usage, is perfect to blend with other
<strong>eco</strong>-friendly fibres: organic cotton, Modal ® ,
Promodal®, Tencel ® , and other cellulosics,
plus cotton, wool, silk, rayon, & acrylic. Mills like Fountainset and Pacific, are using
H-550 to offer fabrics with Modal® or Tencel® for molding bras. European mill partners
include Berlaine, Louis Vidon, Sofileta, Nil Orme, Yesim & Dukuboy. Other mills include
New Wide, Hongik, Sewang, Taijin, Yarn Interactive.
With a continuing trend for super light weight fabrics, H-550 elastane is ideal for use in
40gg, 50gg, and 60gg fabrics to minimise curling while maintaining the aesthetics and
maximizing the design potential of the ultra soft, lightweight fabrics. Mill partners include
Louis Vidon, Pacific, Best Pacific, Tex-tile, Fiori, and PT Namyeung.
For performance in swimwear and in activewear, creora ® H-550 is also the ideal product
to blend with polypropylene to create quick drying, super lightweight performance
fabrics, or in 2 sided/double faced constructions with polyester for a push-pull moisture
management effect. Fabric King in Taiwan and Sae Chang from Korea are interested in
these performance fabrics.
Hyosung’s MIPAN ® regen TM recycled nylon, a further example of the company’s dedication
to environmental stewardship, uses post consumer waste from fishing nets to produce
high quality nylon with the same colour quality, consistency and uniformity as virgin
nylon. regen nylon and polyester are the first synthetic yarns certified independently

y the Global Certification Standard. They both reduce energy consumption, reduce
waste to landfill, and conserve petroleum resources.
For the latest swim fashion combined with <strong>eco</strong> chic, Hyosung will feature the Eco-Panda
swimwear collection. It is the first <strong>eco</strong>-swimwear line to appear in the swimwear market.
Eco-Panda swimwear is comprised of MIPAN ® regen TM recycled nylon and chlorine
