About Us
<strong>Joy</strong> <strong>Bungalow</strong> was the first r e s o r t built on Koh Jum back in 1990, long a
backpacker favorite and the best-known r e s o r t on the Island.
<strong>Joy</strong> <strong>Bungalow</strong> is o f Thailand’s true travelers’ meeting points. All kinds o f
people, f r o m all c o r n e r s o f the globe have made Koh Jum, and in particular
<strong>Joy</strong> <strong>Bungalow</strong>, their escape f r o m the r e s t o f the world. This small, unspoilt
tropical hide-<strong>away</strong> resort Thailand has a unique ambience which lends itself <strong>to</strong>
quiet contemplation and genuine feeling o f inner peace. The lack o f
electricity on the Island enhances this feeling with oil lamps and candles used
f o r light.
At JOY, we go out o f our way not <strong>to</strong> make our r e s o r t a business. Our
commitment is <strong>to</strong> give you nature in the most natural way.

F o r Sand, Sun, <strong>Be</strong>aches and Island
lovers in its natural setting. We a r e
<strong>Joy</strong> <strong>Bungalow</strong>- the . A 30
units bungalow r e s o r t set in tropical
jungle on a longest stretch o f white
sand beach on Jum Island. There is no
electricity on the island. We generate
own electricity f o r limited use in our
restaurant f r o m 6.00 - 10.00 pm.
Guest will be provided with a lantern
when they check in. Visit us if you
like nature as it is given <strong>to</strong> us.

The beach is full o f c r a b s and jungle
full o f birds. Come see the sun set
behind Phi Phi Island. The best time o f
day when white sand turns in<strong>to</strong> gold.

The island r e s o r t is named Koh Jum
which means “Remember Island”
situated between Krabi mainland and
Lanta Island. Operation started since
1990. Provided "Haven on Earth" f o r
foreign visi<strong>to</strong>rs f o r over 20 years.
Prepare <strong>to</strong> stay longer than planned
because once you a r e settled you will
not want <strong>to</strong> leave!

Foods
Regular priced (Fried rice at Baht 50 p e r serving,
Medium Size Magaritta Home made Pizza at Baht 130 p e r
serving). We have suggested menus which include Thai
and European dishes. Made <strong>to</strong> order can be provided
especially if order in advance. Anything f r o m Phuket
Lobster <strong>to</strong> Local crabs, fishes, shells and squids.

Rooms
<strong>Joy</strong>’s 36 bungalows a r e o f different
shapes, sizes and expense. There is
something f o r everyone.
Private <strong>Bungalow</strong> accommodation
starts from 650 Baht <strong>to</strong> 3,400
