A proud history<br />
<strong>Langwarrin</strong> Soccer Club was formed in 1964 by a man called Ted Thornton, Ted’s idea was to<br />
form a soccer club for those kids in the <strong>Langwarrin</strong> area who weren’t interested in playing<br />
Australian Rules Football.
A bright future<br />
In a major coup we have been able to secure the services of ex A-League coach Scott Miller<br />
as senior coach for <strong>2019</strong>. The level of interest that this appointment has brought is astounding<br />
with coverage in the local and major newspapers as well as a significant interest shown<br />
by the local football community.
2018 Season review
In 2018 the <strong>Langwarrin</strong> Soccer Club established itself as one on the biggest clubs in<br />
the south east of Victoria. In our inaugural year in the NPL competition all our NPL<br />
teams performed well and showed that we are deserving of our place in the 2 nd highest<br />
tier in Victorian football. In <strong>2019</strong> we have a major challenge ahead of us as a result<br />
of planned changes in the structures of the NPL and state leagues. To secure a<br />
place in the highest division in 2020 we will need to finish in the top 6 in <strong>2019</strong>. This<br />
means that we will need to enhance our senior team and to do this we will need<br />
your help more than ever.<br />
The disadvantage of being a new starter in the NPL was probably not as apparent as<br />
we can now see. This year we start with a core of players in each age group all the<br />
way through to the seniors. We have a group of established coaches and a technical<br />
director already in place. As a result, we have been able to hit the ground running<br />
by identifying talent that we will aim to retain and use the pre season to top this talent<br />
up rather than build from scratch. Our technical director, Steve Fisher, has been<br />
re-appointed and he has already secured his coaching panel for <strong>2019</strong> as well as undertaken<br />
a review of player and talent identification. We will see strong improvements<br />
from our NPL juniors in <strong>2019</strong>.<br />
We are planning for our community teams (U6 to U11, all girls teams and our senior<br />
women and Bayside). We were able to maintain membership costs in 2018 and saw<br />
strong numbers staying at the club and a raft of new kids joining us as well. We put<br />
in place a Community teams Technical Director, Gary Talbot, who did a great job in<br />
providing training plans and assistance to our community coaches.<br />
We had 380+ junior players last year and expect similar numbers in <strong>2019</strong>.<br />

Ground Signage - Signage position to expose and promote your business to the local community and all visiting players and supporters.<br />
The placement of signage is on a priority basis. The higher the sponsorship the more central the placement.<br />

Season Passes - Based on your level of sponsorship you will receive season pass to allow free entry for you along with family or<br />
work colleagues to attend all <strong>Langwarrin</strong> Soccer club home games and discounted drinks from the bar. (Please Refer to table on previous<br />

Match day program advertisements - Your business will be advertised in the <strong>Langwarrin</strong> Soccer Club match day program. Size of advert<br />
will depend on level of sponsorship.<br />
