<strong>Ardh</strong> <strong>Kumbh</strong> <strong>Mela</strong> <strong>Allahabad</strong><br />
The <strong>Kumbh</strong> <strong>Mela</strong> is the largest and<br />
holiest gathering of Hindu pilgrims.<br />
<strong>Kumbh</strong> means pot and mela means fair.<br />
The four main spots where the fair is<br />
conducted every year is near to river<br />
Godavari in Nasik, river Shipra in Ujjain,<br />
river Ganges in Haridwar, and at the<br />
Sangam of Ganges, Yamuna, and<br />
Saraswati in <strong>Allahabad</strong> for the holy dip.<br />
The <strong>Ardh</strong> <strong>Kumbh</strong> <strong>Mela</strong> is held after every<br />
6 years and is celebrated only at<br />
Haridwar and Prayag near <strong>Allahabad</strong>.

Itinerary 1: The <strong>Kumbh</strong> <strong>Mela</strong> Experience<br />
Day 1 ARRIVE DELHI AND STAY OVERNIGHT<br />
Meet, assist at airport and transfer to hotel. Evening at leisure or shopping.<br />
Day 2 MORNING TRAIN TO ALLAHABAD (10H) & STAY OVERNIGHT<br />
Train to <strong>Allahabad</strong>. Arrive at around 4PM. Meet, assist at station and<br />
transfer to camping site. Later explore <strong>Kumbh</strong> <strong>Mela</strong> ground. Dinner at Camp.<br />
Day 3 IN ALLAHABAD<br />
After breakfast full day explore <strong>Kumbh</strong>a <strong>Mela</strong>. Take Holy Bath at Sangam.<br />
Also experience different camps of Akahras. Option to visit Hanuman<br />
Temple, Akshya Vat and <strong>Allahabad</strong> Fort. Lunch and dinner at Camp.<br />
Day 4 ALLAHABAD TO DELHI RETURN TRAIN (10H)<br />
Take return journey. Arrive Delhi at around 5PM. Meet, assist at station and<br />
transfer to hotel. Stay overnight in Delhi.<br />
Day 5 DELHI DEPARTURE<br />
After breakfast at around 8:30 AM proceed for a drive pass through Old<br />
Delhi’s Chandni Chowk, Jama Mosque and Red Fort. Also visit Raj Ghat- the<br />
cremation ground of Mahatma Gandhi “the father of nation”. At noon return<br />
to hotel, settle extras and check out. Before heading to airport drive pass<br />
through Lyuten’s New Delhi- India Gate, President House, Janpath and<br />
Rajpath. On time report at airport to board your onward flight.

tour of Agra- visit Taj Mahal, Mehtab Bagh, Agra Fort and local artisans<br />
workshop; opportunity to enjoy a nature walk. In evening return to Delhi.<br />
Stay overnight in Delhi.<br />
Day 6 DELHI DEPARTURE<br />

Day 1 ARRIVE DELHI AND DRIVE TO AGRA (4H), STAY OVERNIGHT<br />
Meet, assist at airport and then transfer to hotel in Agra. If time permits, en route stop at<br />
Mathura, Vrindavan, Sikandra and also visit Agra Fort and Mehtab Bagh in Agra.<br />
Day 2 DRIVE TO JAIPUR (5H) & STAY OVERNIGHT<br />
Before breakfast visit Taj Mahal at sunrise. Then return to hotel, enjoy breakfast and<br />
check out. Head for Jaipur, en route stop at Fatehpur Sikri and Abhaneri Step Well. Enjoy<br />
dinner with Rajasthani Folk Song & Dance performed by local artists.<br />
Day 3 DRIVE TO DELHI (5H) & STAY OVERNIGHT<br />
After breakfast visit Amber Fort, en route photo stop near Jal Mahal. Later visit City<br />
Palace & Museum, Jantar Mantar, Observatory and return to Delhi.<br />
Day 4 MORNING TRAIN TO ALLAHABAD (10H) & STAY OVERNIGHT<br />
Train to <strong>Allahabad</strong>. Arrive at around 4PM. Meet, assist at station and transfer to camping<br />

Day 4 DRIVE TO VARANASI (3H)<br />
Morning drive to Varanasi. Visit temple and ghat; Dashaswamedha Ghat, Rajghat, Man<br />
Mandir Ghat, Golden Temple, Gyan Vapi, Durga Mata Temple and Tulsi Manas Mandir.<br />
Later in evening witness Ganga Aarti at ghat. Overnight hotel in Varanasi.<br />
Day 5 OVERNIGHT TRAIN TO DELHI (12H)<br />
Before breakfast enjoy boat ride in Ganges; witness to see holy ritual - the Antyesti (last<br />
rites of human body). Return to hotel for breakfast and then visit Sarnath (10kms from city),<br />
Ashoka Pillar, Sarnath Archaeological Museum, Dhamek Stupa and Chaukhandi Stupa. Also<br />
visit famous Banaras Hindu University (BHU). At around 8 PM board train to Delhi.<br />
Day 6 ARRIVE DELHI & DEPARTURE<br />
Arrive in morning, have refreshment and then head to airport. En route drive pass through<br />
Lyuten’s New Delhi- India Gate, President House, Janpath and Rajpath. On time report at<br />
airport to board your onward flight.
