Itinerary 4: The <strong>Kumbh</strong> <strong>Mela</strong> Experience with Varanasi<br />
Day 1 ARRIVE DELHI AND STAY OVERNIGHT<br />
Meet, assist at airport and transfer to hotel. Evening at leisure or shopping.<br />
Day 2 MORNING TRAIN TO ALLAHABAD (10H) & STAY OVERNIGHT<br />
Train to <strong>Allahabad</strong>. Arrive at around 4PM. Meet, assist at station and transfer to camping<br />
site. Later explore <strong>Kumbh</strong> <strong>Mela</strong> ground. Dinner at Camp.<br />
Day 3 IN ALLAHABAD<br />
After breakfast full day explore <strong>Kumbh</strong>a <strong>Mela</strong>. Take Holy Bath at Sangam. Also<br />
experience different camps of Akahras. Option to visit Hanuman Temple, Akshya Vat and<br />
<strong>Allahabad</strong> Fort. Lunch and dinner at Camp.<br />
Day 4 DRIVE TO VARANASI (3H)<br />
Morning drive to Varanasi. Visit temple and ghat; Dashaswamedha Ghat, Rajghat, Man<br />
Mandir Ghat, Golden Temple, Gyan Vapi, Durga Mata Temple and Tulsi Manas Mandir.<br />
Later in evening witness Ganga Aarti at ghat. Overnight hotel in Varanasi.<br />
Day 5 OVERNIGHT TRAIN TO DELHI (12H)<br />
Before breakfast enjoy boat ride in Ganges; witness to see holy ritual - the Antyesti (last<br />
rites of human body). Return to hotel for breakfast and then visit Sarnath (10kms from city),<br />
Ashoka Pillar, Sarnath Archaeological Museum, Dhamek Stupa and Chaukhandi Stupa. Also<br />
visit famous Banaras Hindu University (BHU). At around 8 PM board train to Delhi.<br />
Day 6 ARRIVE DELHI & DEPARTURE<br />
Arrive in morning, have refreshment and then head to airport. En route drive pass through<br />
Lyuten’s New Delhi- India Gate, President House, Janpath and Rajpath. On time report at<br />
airport to board your onward flight.
