Business - Leisure - Lifetyle THE AFRICAN DOG WHISPERER LOCAL resident Emmanuel Gwabeni - a passionate, young individual blessed with a natural talent - his inherent connection with dogs. Emmanuel grew up on Mazarat Farm in Hillcrest where he took an interest in horse riding. He regualrly visited and assisited his grandmother, who was employed at the kennels, with grooming and walking dogs. Emmanuel’s passion grew as he watched other trainers interact with dogs. “I like animals so much that when they are in pain I feel that and understand them more.” His relationship he never had with his father impoverished him at a point in time in his life. He was lead into unfavourable temptation however he fast dug himself out of this deep dark place when he found his calling - HIS LOVE FOR ANIMALS. He is employed by the Freedom Power Breed Rescue Centre in Assagay. This organisation is currently facing financial constraints and welcomes any form of sponsorship towards making the lives of their animals better. Emmanuel is also a motivational speaker at rural schools, educating the children to combat dog fighting. Despite the many challenges he faces daily, one of which is trying to make ends meet, he is still passionate and positive about the future. Emmanuel now runs a private dog training service on the premises of Freedom Power Breed Rescue Centre to supplement his income. He is available to make house calls and is also willing to travel to make your life easier. Emmanuel is confident to promise a service to discipline even the most unruly fur kid on the block.
