Food pantry receives donation<br />

from the Frankfort Car Club<br />

The Frankfort Township<br />

Food Pantry held its fourth<br />

annual Chews to Cruise<br />

event Sunday, Sept. 30.<br />

More than 100 collector cars<br />

and trucks were present. The<br />

Frankfort Car Club took this<br />

opportunity to present the<br />

food pantry with a check for<br />

$2,000. With the help of a<br />

special program at Meijer,<br />

the $2,000 contribution will<br />

be tripled, allowing the food<br />

pantry to purchase $6,000 of<br />

food benefiting eligible food<br />

pantry clients of Frankfort<br />

Township. Residents interested<br />

in volunteering or<br />

pantry benefits are asked to<br />

contact the Frankfort Township<br />

Food Pantry at (815)<br />

469-4907.<br />

The Frankfort Car Club<br />

contribution was presented<br />

to Frankfort Township Food<br />

Pantry Director Jeannine<br />

Hetfleisch by Frankfort Car<br />

Club Treasurer Greg Andresen<br />

and Cruise Night Chairman<br />

Chuck Ravetto. Will<br />

County Board Speaker Jim<br />

Moustis and various other<br />

Frankfort Township officials<br />

were also present. The<br />

Frankfort Car Club sponsors<br />

cruise nights in downtown<br />

Frankfort every Thursday<br />

evening from June through<br />

August. Club membership is<br />

open to all auto enthusiasts.<br />

meet at 7:30 p.m. the second<br />

Wednesday of each month<br />

in the Frankfort Township<br />

Complex at 11000 W. Lincoln<br />

Highway in Frankfort.<br />
