teahouses and well-ma<strong>in</strong>ta<strong>in</strong>ed trails accommodates tens of thousands of<br />

trekkers from around the globe each year to <strong>Trek</strong> to <strong>Everest</strong>. The <strong>Everest</strong> region<br />

fans out <strong>in</strong>to a series of impressive glacier-filled valleys above the ma<strong>in</strong> trad<strong>in</strong>g<br />

center of Namche Bazaar - also known as ' The Sherpa Capital '. The eastern side<br />

of the region <strong>in</strong>cludes the ma<strong>in</strong> trail to <strong>Everest</strong> <strong>Base</strong> <strong>Camp</strong> and the viewpo<strong>in</strong>t of<br />

Kala Patthar at 5545 meters. Apart from the mesmeriz<strong>in</strong>g views of high mounta<strong>in</strong>s<br />

airstrip of Lukla, we start our EBC trek over a slightly ris<strong>in</strong>g trail that heads up to<br />

Namche Bazaar – also known as The Sherpa Capital. Namche Bazaar is an<br />

extensive trade centers where there is always someth<strong>in</strong>g to see.


After spend<strong>in</strong>g a full day rest at Namche for acclimatization, we cont<strong>in</strong>ue our trek<br />

on the ma<strong>in</strong> EBC trail that heads towards the popular Tyangboche Monastery.<br />

From Tyangboche, our trail is a gradual ascend journey all the way to Gorakshep,<br />

pass<strong>in</strong>g through Pangboche, D<strong>in</strong>gboche, and Lobuche. Gorakshep is the last stop<br />

with comfy tea houses and lies beneath the rocky hill viewpo<strong>in</strong>t of Kalapatthar.<br />

From Gorakshep, we cont<strong>in</strong>ue our trek to <strong>Everest</strong> for about two hours to reach<br />

<strong>Everest</strong> <strong>Base</strong> <strong>Camp</strong>.<br />

After exploration around the <strong>Everest</strong> <strong>Base</strong> <strong>Camp</strong> <strong>Trek</strong>, we retrace our steps back<br />

to Gorakshep. The follow<strong>in</strong>g day we will accomplish an early morn<strong>in</strong>g hike to<br />

Kalapatthar 5545 meters for enjoy<strong>in</strong>g the up-close sunrise view over Mt. <strong>Everest</strong>,<br />

Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cho Oyu and other surround<strong>in</strong>g cha<strong>in</strong>s of high<br />

snowcapped peaks. After spend<strong>in</strong>g quality time <strong>in</strong> the high mounta<strong>in</strong>s our return<br />

journey heads back follow<strong>in</strong>g the same trail back to Lukla. The amaz<strong>in</strong>g trekk<strong>in</strong>g<br />

experience to <strong>Everest</strong> <strong>Base</strong> <strong>Camp</strong> and the viewpo<strong>in</strong>t of Kalapatthar ends with a<br />

scenic flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu.
