9-10am Wally Funk was one of the thirteen<br />

members of the 1961 Women in Space<br />

Programme. But, one week before<br />

the final phase of training, the<br />

programme was cancelled.<br />

Undeterred, Wally went on to<br />

become America’s first female<br />

aviation safety inspector,<br />

though her dream of being<br />

an astronaut never dimmed.<br />

between 11-13, for ten weeks initially,<br />

we deliver ten workshop with the<br />

aim the girls will gain increased<br />

confidence and self esteem,<br />

trained as young Leaders with<br />

the opportunity to volunteer at<br />

the end. The girls will also have<br />

the opportunity to complete a Sports<br />

Recognition Award level one Coaching<br />
