• Cement 1969 & Tyres in 1991 where added under
brand names “Birla Shakti” & “Birla Tyres”

in India marketed as Kesophane
• In 2016 Melangor takes over the export business of

Rayon
• Viscose Filament Yarn (VFY) is cellulosic man-made fiber produced from wood pulp.
• Commonly Known as “Art-Silk” VFY fabrics have a rich natural shining finish, generally
preferred over synthetic yarns.

PACKAGING SPECIFICATIONS
• 5 ply waterproofed corrugated boxes. Bottom is stitched with wire while
the top pasted with sodium silicate, each box is strapped and sealed.
• Cones are packed individually in 3 ply corrugated boxes with top and
bottom left open to position the cones. Each carton can hold up to 24
cones
