Congratulations! Your school has been selected to participate in Sport England’s Active Lives Survey for Children and Young People. What’s it about? Schools have an important role to play and should aim to ensure all children are getting at least 30 minutes physical activity of overall recommendation* during the school day. This survey is an important tool to help us understand more how children are engaging in sport and physical activity so we can support schools and those with caring responsibilities. Active Devon’s role: Sport England is leading the survey on behalf of the Department for Education, the Department of Health and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. Active Devon is supporting schools across Devon to: access the survey; complete it for selected year groups; claim the incentives and access their bespoke reports. *The Chief Medical Officer recommends all school-aged children get at least 60 minutes of regular physical activity per day but we know roughly only 1 in 5 achieve this.
