Personal Reference
Stylist – I would like work on both still life and model shoots , styling models / mannequins. This involves being very
interactive with other workers e.g. photographers , working on the shoot, and being organized which I believe are my
strengths.
Buyer – I also believe being a buyer is fairly suitable for me. As I find it interesting about predicting the future trends.
Being a buyer gives control over the company , however needing certain skills e.g. confidence have to be very strong skill
which I personally lack in.
Marketing Manager – One of my ideal jobs in the fashion industry is this role . I feel that this is suitable for me as the
key skills needed are ; leadership and motivational skills, creativity and great attention to detail, communication and IT
skills which are my strong points. This will give me the control to make decisions to help benefit the company I'm working
for.
Visual Merchandiser – However this particular role wouldn’t benefit me as much as others, partly because It’s a very
detailed and creative job, it involves more of the textiles side of fashion e.g. colours , fabrics etc. which I have less interest in
and therefore wouldn't be as motivated in comparison to something I’d enjoy.
Personal Shopper – In my opinion , this is my second favourite job role. Its very intellectual, it involves communication
between the customers and I which is vital, and finding out their particular style / size and budgets. It involves making
decisions under pressure , this is suitable as you need to be a motivated and ambition member of ‘ staff ‘ . I have a strong
passion in ‘ fashion ‘ and trends. Organization is also important in this role due to making sure unsold goods are returned to
the right departments and filling in paper work.
