COOLING SYSTEM SERVICE COOLING F The cooling system removes excess heat from the engine. Approximately, one third of the heat generated from fuel combustion is dissipated through the cooling system. Over time, antifreeze / coolants lose their protective quality, allowing corrosive deposits to form.
