Diann Hammer<br />

Diann Hammer has taken a slow and unique path <strong>to</strong> become a songwriter<br />

and her songs are gaining attention. In 2017 she claimed <strong>the</strong> Gold Award<br />

at <strong>the</strong> <strong>34th</strong> annual Mid-Atlantic Song Contest in <strong>the</strong> gospel/inspirational<br />

category. She is a grand prize winner of <strong>the</strong> 2016 Session-II John Lennon<br />

Songwriting Contest in <strong>the</strong> country category and also in 2016 she received<br />

<strong>the</strong> Silver Award in <strong>the</strong> pop category at <strong>the</strong> 33rd annual Mid-Atlantic Song<br />

Contest.<br />

SONGWRITERS BIOS<br />

Ted Handley<br />

Ted Handley, AKA Tumbleweed Ted, was born in Pensacola, and now resides<br />

in South Carolina. His claim <strong>to</strong> fame, or infamy, comes from his song<br />

“Save The Bales (Talking Square Grouper Blues).” “Save The Bales” has<br />

been recorded by several artists, including local entertainers, J. Hawkins,<br />

and <strong>the</strong> late David Johnson. Also, it was released nationally, in 2002, by<br />

Laughing Hyena Records on an album appropriately named Refer Man.<br />

Rhonda Hart<br />

Rhonda Hart is a Grammy® Award Nominee for co-penning <strong>the</strong> title cut<br />

“Did I Shave My Legs For This” with Deanna Carter. The album has sold<br />

more than 5 million copies and was featured in a Bellsouth Commercial.<br />

Rhonda has been writing and performing in clubs for more than three decades.<br />

She spent many years performing in Nashville with artist like Tracy<br />

Lawrence, Dennis Robbins, Deanna Carter, Mila Mason, Tim McGraw,<br />

Clin<strong>to</strong>n Gregory and many more. She lives and performs on <strong>the</strong> Fla./Ala.<br />

Gulf Coast.<br />

J Hawkins<br />

Born in Kentucky, Hawkins moved <strong>to</strong> Florida in 1968. He played bars<br />

and honky <strong>to</strong>nks along <strong>the</strong> Gulf Coast in <strong>the</strong> late 70s and was voted<br />

Gulf Coast’s best male singer in 1989 by <strong>the</strong> Pensacola News Journal. J.<br />

started playing <strong>the</strong> Flora-Bama in 1978 and has been involved with <strong>the</strong><br />

FBISF since it’s inception. J. has opened for well known acts such as John<br />

Hartford, Tom T. Hall, John Prine, David Allen Coe, Marshall Tucker<br />

and Asleep At <strong>the</strong> Wheel.<br />

Byron Hill<br />

His songs have generated more than 700 recordings, been released on<br />

91 industry certified Gold and Platinum albums and singles, earned 10<br />

ASCAP awards and 34 U.S. and Canadian <strong>to</strong>p-ten chart hits. The songs<br />

“Fool Hearted Memory” (George Strait), “Pickin’ Up Strangers” (Johnny<br />

Lee), “Politics, Religion, And Her” (Sammy Kershaw), “Nothing On But<br />

The Radio” (Gary Allan), “Born Country” (Alabama), “Size Matters” (Joe<br />

Nichols) are just a few of <strong>the</strong> notable songs in his recorded catalog that<br />

spans four decades.<br />
