is a film culturist, screenwriter,
filmmaker, and video essayist. He has
written on TV shows, The Station, Edge
of Paradise, The Johnsons, Inspector K
and Africa Magic’s prime time shows,
Battleground and Ajoche - reviews
for the Durban International Film
Festival(DIFF) and contributed essays
to Shadow & Act and The Native Mag.
A Talents Durban Alumni, His short
films have been selected for: Africa
International Film Festival (AFRIFF),
BFI Blackstar’s Beyond Nollywood,
Cambridge African Film Festival (CAFF)
and the Cannes Short Film corner.
In 2018 he was a Guest Speaker and
Lecturer at the University of Limpopo.
Kanso Ogbolu
is a self-motivated creative with an
ability to translate various ideas
into visual gold. He received a BSc.
in Architecture from the Kwame
Nkrumah University of Science and
Technology, Kumasi, Ghana and
worked with various architectural and
construction firms before moving on
to advertising for 5 years. Some of his
notable achievements during this time
include appearing in the prestigious
Luerzer’s Archive Magazine more
than once, winning the grand prize
in the Multichoice at 20 logo design
competition, winning 2 Gold awards
at the Lagos Advertising and Ideas
Festival for his animation work, to
name a few. Currently, he runs his own
company, OBK Studios, a design, and
animation agency.
Oludara Egerton Shyngle
From quitting a job in one of Nigeria’s
top commercial banks in a bid to follow
her “crazy” dream, the graduate of
New York Film Academy has starred
in hit web series on YouTube and they
include Assorted Meat, Rumor Has
It and Inspector K. Oludara has also
starred in feature films, including the
award-winning Isoken, Tatu, Obsession
and Lara and the Beat and soon to be
released Ghost and the House of Truth.
She played Bukky in the well-received
stage play at Muson center- “Still Single
in Gidi”, which was part of the Lagos
Film Festival in 2017. She was one of the
producers of Lala Akindoju’s ‘NAKED’
and has worked with AFRIFF for the
past three years.
Babawande Thomas
is the Creative Director of Urbangidi, an
African Content creation and
Production Company focused on
integrated content-based advertising
(ICBA). With a Masters Degree in
Enterprise systems management from
Birmingham city university, UK, Wande
is keen on the use of technology and
most especially Media and Integrated
content as a tool in driving across
brand messages to its intended target
demographic. An avid believer in
African self-sufficiency and cultural
updating and preservation for the 2018
Nigerian, Wande believes that Africa is
who Africa needs.
Emem Isong
is a screenwriter, award-winning movie
producer and distributor in Nollywood.
Her 24+ years experience has produced
dozens of notable Nollywood feature
films including Reloaded, Breaking
Point, She-Devil, A Minute To Midnight,
Play Boy, Private Sin, Master Stroke,
Rumours, Shattered Illusion, and in
2015, Code of Silence, addressing the
issue of rape. She is the co-founder
and CEO of Royal Arts Academy, Lagos.
Emem Isong is married and a mother
of 3.
Daro Umaigba
Daro Umaigba has over ten years
experience in various aspects of
filmmaking, photography and visual
design. He is self-taught and has
worked on a varied range of design
projects. He loves to travel and LOVES
Music. His portfolio shows his expertise
in the areas of graphic design,
photography, motion graphics, Visual
effects, 2d and 3d animation, Camera
operation, Cinematography, Directing,
Video Editing and more across the
design spectrum.
Oluwadamilola Amolegbe
is the founder of ‘W. Amolegbe
Consulting, a Creative
Consultancy where she serves
as Editor of ContentNigeria.Net,
HauteFashionAfrica.com; which she
founded in 2005 and is the CEO of
its linear TV Channel, HFA TV which
launched in November 2017 on PlayTV
and syndicates two of its flagship
programs; ‘Muslimah Style Guide’ and
‘Shop My Closet’ on Silverbird TV.
Isioma Idigbe
holds a Bachelors of Law (Hons) degree
from the Law School at the University
of Kent, Canterbury, United Kingdom.
She holds a certificate in Entertainment
Law from the Osgoode Hall Law
School at the York University Toronto,
Ontario, Canada. As an associate at
PUNUKA Attorneys and Solicitors,
where she heads the firm’s Media and
Entertainment Department, she has
pioneered and hosted extensive Media
and Entertainment Law training sessions
in Nigeria. Noteworthy of these is the
annually held training by the PUNUKA
Media and Entertainment team at the
prestigious Africa International Film
Festival (AFRIFF). Isioma was a panelist
at the International Association of
Entertainment Lawyers (IAEL) annual
conference and is the current secretary
of the Music Publishers Association of
Nigeria.
Odenike Odetola
is a stage, film and television actor as
well as a screenwriter. She is known
for her performance in plays like Hear
Word! and The Wives, as well as movies
and TV shows where she has worked
with several theatre and film veterans
in the industry. She loves traveling and
she teaches yoga in her spare time.
