Erline Andrews (“The secret life of sunscreen”, page<br />

92) is an award-winning Trinidadian journalist. She is a<br />

regular contributor to <strong>Caribbean</strong> <strong>Beat</strong> and her work<br />

has also appeared in other publications in T&T and the<br />

US, including the Chicago Tribune and the Christian<br />

Science Monitor.<br />

From an initial background in finance, Shelly-Ann<br />

Inniss (“Foodies’ Barbados”, page 70) decided to<br />

explore her love for writing and media. A Trinidad-based<br />

Barbadian writer and editorial assistant at <strong>Caribbean</strong><br />

<strong>Beat</strong>, she is an explorer and adventure-seeker at heart.<br />

Mark Lyndersay (“A travel bag should be a bit ugly”,<br />

page 88) is a Trinidadian photographer and journalist.<br />

His BitDepth is the longest running newspaper column<br />

reporting on technology in the country.<br />

Nazma Muller (“Dr Jones”, page 52) is a Trinidadborn,<br />

Jamaica-obsessed writer who has worked in<br />

newsrooms in T&T, Jamaica, and the UK.<br />

Franka Philip (“A feast among friends”, page 46) loves<br />

to find the story behind the story in the food industry.<br />

A journalist for more than twenty years, she has worked<br />

in print, online, and radio in Trinidad and at the BBC in<br />

London. At the start of <strong>2018</strong>, she co-founded Trini Good<br />

Media, a website hosting the podcast Talk ’Bout Us.<br />

Shivanee Ramlochan (“A writer with a plan”, page 60)<br />

is a Trinidadian poet <strong>—</strong> author of Everyone Knows I Am<br />

a Haunting <strong>—</strong> arts reporter, and Bookshelf editor for<br />

<strong>Caribbean</strong> <strong>Beat</strong>.<br />
