c) Projek penyelidikan bertajuk Modeling of<br />

Surface Air Temperature Element in<br />

Attainment High Quality Data over East<br />

Malaysia dengan peruntukan RM 550,000<br />

dengan tempoh pelaksanaan selama 30 bulan<br />

bermula dari Mac 2014 sehingga Ogos <strong>2016</strong>.<br />

Model integrasi yang dibangunkan berupaya<br />

menganggar suhu permukaan udara di<br />

kawasan tiada pencerapan terutamanya di<br />

tanah tinggi dan pedalaman Sabah dan<br />

Sarawak;<br />

c) The research project titled Modeling of Surface<br />

Air Temperature Element in Attainment High<br />

Quality Data over East Malaysia with an<br />

allocation of RM550,000 was completed over a<br />

period of 30 months from March 2014 till<br />

August <strong>2016</strong>. The integrated model was capable<br />

in producing accurate surface air temperature<br />

over areas without observation stations such as<br />

the highlands and interior of Sabah and<br />

Sarawak;<br />

d) Penggunaan model WRF-CHEM untuk<br />

meningkatkan ketepatan model ramalan cuaca<br />

numerikal MMD di bawah projek<br />

Jawatankuasa Antara Agensi bagi<br />

melaksanakan Kajian Komprehensif untuk<br />

Ramalan Cuaca Ekstrem dan Banjir;<br />

e) Mengkaji dan meningkatkan ketepatan model<br />

ramalan cuaca berangka (NWP) MMD melalui<br />

asimilasi dengan data Global Positioning<br />

System (GPS) Integrated Water Vapour (IWV)<br />

di bawah projek Jawatankuasa antara Agensi<br />

bagi melaksanakan Kajian Komprehensif<br />

untuk Ramalan Cuaca Ekstrem dan Banjir;<br />

d) The use of WRF-CHEM model to increase<br />

accuracy of MMD’s numerical weather<br />

prediction (NWP) model under The<br />

Inter-Agency Committee for Implementation of<br />

Comprehensive Study for Extreme Weather and<br />

Flood Forecasting;<br />

e) To study and enhance the accuracy of MMD’s<br />

NWP model through data assimilation of<br />

Global Positioning System (GPS) Integrated<br />

Water Vapour (IWV) under The Inter-Agency<br />

Committee for Implementation of<br />

Comprehensive Study for Extreme Weather and<br />

Flood Forecasting;<br />
