MARCO SQUASSINA<br />
I was born in 1974 in Brescia. In 1997 I got the degree in mathematics by the Catholic University. In 2002 I earned the Ph.D<br />
from the University of Milano.<br />
After staying in Verona for ten years as an associate professor in mathematical analysis, since 2016 I’m full professor at<br />
the Catholic University in Brescia.<br />
I’ve always had a great passion for photography, but it remained unexpressed until a few years ago, when I decided to<br />
get a good set of photographic gears. After a period of experimentation I found my absolute love in shooting close-up<br />
portraits as well as environmental portraits.<br />
I mainly shoot female models by carefully planning the choice of the location, the time, the lights (most of the time<br />
I shoot in golden or blue hours), the mood and focusing myself to revealing the femininity and the sensuality of the<br />
models in contrast to showing up their beauty in connection to wearing fancy outfits. I like the Russian portraiture style,<br />
especially the way they wisely color grade their works. They are currently my main landmark in photography.<br />
