ATHLETICS (INCLUSIVE) Squad Information Teams consist of 8 children all of whom are on the SEND register Year groups Secondary (year 7 -11) Gender Mixed COMPETITION FORMAT The Inclusive Athletics competition format allows each team to rotate around a set of 5 standard Sportshall Field events with each athlete completing each event. There are appropriate adaptations provided for each of England Athletics 4 specified Disability Groups. - Chest Push - Soft Javelin - Speed Bounce - Standing Long Jump - Hi-Stepper There will be a team relay to finish.
ATHLETICS (QUADKIDS) Squad Information Teams consist of 8 children (4 boys & 4 girls) Year groups Year 3&4 and Year 5&6 Gender Mixed COMPETITION FORMAT QuadKids is a team based competition where each child completes four events. The four events for Years 3&4 teams are as follows: 50m sprint 400m run Standing long jump Mini vortex howler throw (run ups are allowed) The four events for Years 5&6 teams are as follows: 75m sprint 600m run Standing long jump Mini vortex howler throw (run ups are allowed) Teams for all age groups are to consist of 4 boys and 4 girls. They will compete as a team with the scores over the four events added together to give the team score. SCORING Each athlete competes in all 4 events. The time or distance for each event is measured against a standard points scoring table and the better the performance the higher the points scored. The points from each event are added together to give the aggregate points or QuadKids score for that athlete. If an athlete misses an event or in the case of a race does not finish they score zero points. If an athlete completes an event but records a time or distance below the lower end of the points scale, they receive the minimum 10 point score for that event. If an athlete records a time or distance above the upper end of the points scale, they will be given the maximum 100 points.
