EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
FSS Magazine requires a full website build to support your digital growth. This website will
allow you to expose your magazine to organic audiences via search engines, and deploy content
marketing to build awareness.
I am uniquely qualified to build the website that you desire, due to my years of designing, writing,
and developing online content, and my experience working with clients in university, education,
and community organizations.
WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT
A website is a tool for your audience. They are on
your website in search of something, whether it
be specific information or entertainment. My job
is to think like the user and make that search as
effortless and rewarding as possible.
VISUAL IDENTITY
Having a website is step one, but now you need
people to stay on it! Creating a recognizable,
attractive website is key in having your users
enjoy and remember their experience.
OPTIMIZATION
Not only do you need a reliable and user-friendly
website for your audience, you need people
to find it! It’s my job to optimize your website
for search engines, social media sharing, and
responsiveness across devices.
CoffeeCatsKimchi.com is a lifestyle blog
that I created after living in South Korea for
2 years to share my experiences, food, and
travel with the world, while also promoting
my design portfolio. After a year and a half
of consistent work it continues to grow
larger every day. I built the website and it’s
social media pages from scratch, and it’s
been an amazing learning experience.
CLIENTS FEEDBACK
ANNA TOMBS
Co-Founder/Hakehillah Korea
“When making our calendars, we had a very tight
deadline. Sarah was not only able to make it on
time, she also helped us with follow up review
and edits along the way. We continue to look to
Sarah for our design needs.”
VERNITA PEARL FORT
CEO/TEAco Inc.
“Ms. Gavin has the ability to understand my
design requests unlike any other assistant
that I have ever had. She not only hears my
words about what I want her to create ...But
comprehends them thoroughly so as to create
more than I could have ever imagined.”
WOOSEOK KWON
Creator/Kwon’s Corner
“She is a hard worker and always does more
than what I asked for. When she designed my
YouTube and blog, she brought me a lot of
samples to choose from. Every time she brought
me the final outcome, she made me feel glad that
I chose her as my designer.”
PROPOSED SOLUTION
The FSS Magazine website already has a good deal of content and a
cohesive design. Although the site is easy to navigate, we can do things
to increase the engagement with, professionalism, and reach of the site.
Hosting & Management
Site Structure
Site Integrations
I will build your website
using the WordPress content
management system (CMS).
WordPress is known for it’s
ease of use, security, and
scalability. It will allow you
to do the following once your
website is launched:
Your new website must be
easy to navigate, intuitive, and
modern. Ideally the new design
will increase time spent on
each page, and optimize for
search engine performance.
It must convey a sense of
professionalism.
To reach the full potential of a
website takes time and hard
work. The best way to do this is
to work smart. That’s why I will
integrate the new website with
tools to save time, optimize
performance, and easily
analyze the website’s data.
• Easily update page content
and images
• Integrate with analytics
software to track page and site
performance
• Post new content to your
company blog
I propose that your site be
hosted with Bluehost using
shared hosting Choice
Plus. This will ensure that
your website is capable of
supporting a high volume
of traffic while remaining
protected from malicious
entities.
Your website will have at
minimum the following pages:
• Home
• About
• Blog
• Contact
• Current Issue
• Archive
• School Search
I will integrate your site with
the following tools:
• Analytics: Google Analytics
• SEO: Yoast SEO
• Automation: Hootsuite
• Book Reader: Yumpu
• Comments: Disqus
• Sharing: Social Warfare
These integrations will allow
you to use your website as a
powerful tool to help you reach
a larger audience.
More features and integrations are available upon request.
FAQs
What are your payment terms?
I require half of the package price upfront to cover the initial
costs of building the website. The second half of the package
price is due at design approval, and the final costs are due 30
days after post-launch testing begins.
If you choose an hourly rate, I require a deposit of $200 (3 hours)
upfront, $100 at design approval, and the final costs 30 days after
post-launch testing begins.
For monthly maintenance, fees will be invoiced on the first
business day of the calendar month, and are due on a net-30
basis.
How long does it take to build a website?
Once I have all of the content and photos it should take 3-6 weeks
to design and build a 5-10 page website. The longest part of the
process will be creating and collecting content.
Will I be able to make changes to the site
after it is completed?
Absolutely. By using WordPress anyone with basic computer
skills can easily add content to the site. Making adjustments is
simple and intuitive. I will also always be available by e-mail, and
if you choose I will perform maintenance and revisions once a
month to make sure your website is up-to-date.
Yes, I do!
Do you provide copywriting services?
Are your sites mobile-friendly?
Always. I use responsive designs on my sites to ensure they work
perfectly on all browsers, desktops, laptops, tablets, and phones.
