2015, I now run a full-time travel
and food blog.

I have done design work for
clients all over the world. From
logo design, to business cards, to
web design. It’s what I love.

Hello! My name is Sarah Gavin. I am the founder
and writer of CoffeeCatsKimchi.com, and executive
designer for Hakehillah Korea and Kwon’s Corner.
I have been working in webdesign and branding for
the past 5 years, and would love to work with you on
creating a new FSS Magazine website.
Customer satisfaction is my #1 priority. I am dedicated

FSS Magazine requires a full website build to support your digital growth. This website will
allow you to expose your magazine to organic audiences via search engines, and deploy content
marketing to build awareness.
I am uniquely qualified to build the website that you desire, due to my years of designing, writing,
and developing online content, and my experience working with clients in university, education,
and community organizations.

A website is a tool for your audience. They are on
your website in search of something, whether it
be specific information or entertainment. My job
is to think like the user and make that search as
effortless and rewarding as possible.
VISUAL IDENTITY
Having a website is step one, but now you need

that I created after living in South Korea for
2 years to share my experiences, food, and
travel with the world, while also promoting
my design portfolio. After a year and a half
of consistent work it continues to grow
larger every day. I built the website and it’s
social media pages from scratch, and it’s
been an amazing learning experience.

LATEST CLIENTS
Over the past 5 years I have worked extensively on
projects in nonprofit, education, and entertainment.
Hakehillah is a nonprofit Jewish organization in South Korea. I have developed
Hakehillah’s logo, calendar, t-shirts, Facebook page, newsletter, mascot, business cards,
and more.
TEAco is an educational nonprofit that fights for art education in schools. I developed the
organization’s business cards, website, logo, illustrations, presentations, and conference
posters.
Kwon’s Corner is a content creator on YouTube and Twitch. I have designed his YouTube
channel, Twitch channel, Facebook page, and blog posts.

PROPOSED SOLUTION
The FSS Magazine website already has a good deal of content and a
cohesive design. Although the site is easy to navigate, we can do things
to increase the engagement with, professionalism, and reach of the site.

The table below details the costs associated with this project. Invoices
will be sent to FSS Magazine, are payable via credit card, Paypal, or wire
transfer, and are due on a net-30 basis.

TERMS OF AGREEMENT
AUTHORIZATION
FSS Magazine is engaging Sarah Gavin, as an independent contractor for the
specific project outlined below:
FSS Magazine website development, launch, hosting, & support.
COMPLETION
Sarah Gavin, and FSS Magazine must work together to complete the project in a timely manner.
Sarah Gavin agrees to work expeditiously to complete the project no later than the due date agreed
upon by both parties.
PAYMENT
Fees to Sarah Gavin are due in accordance with the above listed pricing table. Fees for monthly
services will be invoices on the 1st business day of each calendar month, and are due on a net-30
basis. All payments will be made in USD.
ASSIGNMENT OF PROJECT
Sarah Gavin reserves the right to assign subcontractors to this project to insure the right fit for the
job as well as on-time completion.
REVISION DURING EXECUTION
FSS Magazine may be charged additional fees if it decides to make changes to the agreed upon
project scope and objectives.
LEGAL & LICENSE
Sarah Gavin warrants that the functionality contained in this project will meet FSS Magazine’s
requirements and that the operation will be reasonably error-free. The entire risk as to the quality
and performance of the project is with FSS Magazine. In no event will Sarah Gavin be liable
to FSS Magazine or any third party for any damages, including any lost profits, lost savings or
other incidental, consequential or special damages arising out of the operation of or inability to
operate the website, even if Sarah Gavin has been advised of the possibility of such damages. If
any provision of this agreement shall be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then
that provision shall be deemed severable from this agreement and shall not affect the validity and
enforceability of any remaining provisions.
COPYRIGHTS & TRADEMARKS
FSS Magazine represents to Sarah Gavin and unconditionally guarantees that any elements
furnished to Sarah Gavin for inclusion in the project are owned by FSS Magazine, or that FSS
Magazine has permission from the rightful owner to use each of these elements, and will hold
harmless, protect, and defend FSS Magazine and its subcontractors from any claim or suit arising
from the use of such elements furnished by FSS Magazine.

COPYRIGHT TO PROJECT
Sarah Gavin guarantees that all
aspects of design and construction
of the project will be disclosed to FSS
Magazine upon completion, and full
code, copyrights and ownership will
be the sole property of FSS Magazine.
Sarah Gavin retains the
right to display graphics and other
design elements as examples of her
work in her portfolio.
SOLE AGREEMENT
The agreement contained in this
contract constitutes the sole agreement
between Sarah Gavin and FSS Magazine
regarding this project. Any additional
work not specified in this contract
must be authorized by a written
change order. All prices specified in
this contract will be honored for six (6)
months after both parties sign this
contract. Continued services after that
time will require a new agreement.
INITIAL PAYMENT
& REFUND POLICY
This agreement begins with an initial
payment indicated in the pricing table
above. If FSS Magazine halts work and
applies for a refund within 1 week, work
completed shall be billed at the hourly
rate of $65/hour, and deducted from the
initial payment, the balance of which
shall be returned to FSS Magazine. If,
at the time of the request for refund,
work has been completed beyond the
amount covered by the initial payment,
FSS Magazine shall be liable to pay
for all work completed at the hourly
rate stated above. No portion of this
initial payment will be refunded unless
requested within 1 week of signing this
contract.

FAQs
What are your payment terms?
I require half of the package price upfront to cover the initial
costs of building the website. The second half of the package
price is due at design approval, and the final costs are due 30
days after post-launch testing begins.
If you choose an hourly rate, I require a deposit of $200 (3 hours)
upfront, $100 at design approval, and the final costs 30 days after
post-launch testing begins.
For monthly maintenance, fees will be invoiced on the first
business day of the calendar month, and are due on a net-30
basis.
How long does it take to build a website?
Once I have all of the content and photos it should take 3-6 weeks
to design and build a 5-10 page website. The longest part of the
process will be creating and collecting content.
Will I be able to make changes to the site
after it is completed?
Absolutely. By using WordPress anyone with basic computer
skills can easily add content to the site. Making adjustments is
simple and intuitive. I will also always be available by e-mail, and
if you choose I will perform maintenance and revisions once a
month to make sure your website is up-to-date.

Do you provide copywriting services?
Are your sites mobile-friendly?
Always. I use responsive designs on my sites to ensure they work
perfectly on all browsers, desktops, laptops, tablets, and phones.
