Global Warming

A lack of water - forests ready to die
seems more fires now than in summers gone by
long hot days - humid summer nights
melting glaciers - disappearing polar ice
Deserts growing - rivers shallow
human survival - ready for the gallows
scientists united in the warning
it's real - it's here - it's global warming
the world has awakened
it's not made up - it's a fact
clock is ticking - time's running out
clock is ticking - now it's time to act

Blood Money

Certain plants will soon be extinct
Polar bears, tigers and elephants are in grave danger
The rhinoceros and whales are also on this list
Are human being next?
Pollution of the land and water
is paramount in our struggle to survive.
We are losing this battle
Keep the black gold flowing, racing down the pipe line.
fighting for freedom is just one big lie.
war is nothing more than a rich man's game
money spent on weapons is a crying shame
A few get rich while the poor keep dying,
the mothers of the dead just keep on crying
hope you’re happy with your blood money
hope you're happy with your blood money
today's profits override tomorrow's health
if you're dying inside will you care about your wealth

Ocean Acidification

Ocean acidification
such a sinister abberation
affecting every nation
we need some purification
we need some information
a simple explanation
of ocean acidification
City smog puts polutants in the air
these dangerous particles
fall to the ocean floor
become part of the food chain
fish are infected - your meal is digested
it's hydrocarbon interaction
it's worse than you can imagine
the P.h. of the sea is changing
this is a dangerous situation
it's called ocean acidification

Feed The Poor

Another brand new building
that hits the sky
a panoramic view
for the few that fly
we're going to the stars
on a roller coaster ride
and we can't feed the poor
or feed the hungry
just one more battle that will end all wars
men still fighting for their just case
we run out of weapons
and we just build more and more
and we don't feed the poor
or feed the hungry
we blame others and the powers that be
there's plenty of guilt and hypocrisy
let God's light shine end this insanity
let's feed the poor and feed the hungry
we worship gold build monuments to greed
in a world of plenty no one should be hungry

Time And Time Again

I see children crying, desperation on their face
so much hurt and anger, seems like such a waste
Nations of the world try to set things right
another day passes into the black of night
the clock keeps on ticking but we never learn
we make the same mistakes time and time again
The war drums keep beating
angry words loud and clear
leaders shake their fist
never show any fear
hard to know the truth
who is wrong and who is right
the ones that start the war
are never the ones to fight

Planting Seeds

take one hello
take one 'good morning'
take a smile turn it into two
like planting seeds in your garden
let the love shine through
Do a good deed
wanting nothing in return
then watch the magic grow
I help you, you help another
who helps another
we're planting seeds you know
All the seeds that we could sow
sprinkle with love and watch them grow
take a little kindness spread it 'round
oh the wonder of a new friend found

Trouble

We're in trouble
there's danger in the air
cause we're in trouble
doesn't anybody care
melting glacier ice
we're rolling the dice
with nuclear waste - gmo taste
in my corn and rice
big trouble
danger in the air
doesn't anybody care
big trouble
ocean is polluted
species are dying
poverty's increasing
as mother earth is crying

On The Road We Share

If I lived in the mountains and you lived by the sea
two souls that never meet have no need for harmony
but this world is so small and chances are fair
our paths might cross on the road we share
we polute the air we polute the sea
we call it progress in our hour of need
one day we may meet in a world of despair
can we find peaceful ground on the road we share
If I live in luxury and your cupboard is bare
do I close my eyes and say life is not fair
Storm clouds are rolling as bombs fill the air
can we all find a safe place on this road we share

Yosemite, the Redwoods and San Francisco
valleys to the deserts to the rivers to the mountains
and everywhere in between
Beauty - it's all beauty to me
from Maine to Arizona - down to the Florida Keys
So much beauty - it's all beauty to me
from Alaska to Hawaii from sea to shining sea
See the Black Hills
of South Dakota
and the Presidents of stone
travel through Nebraska
and wheat fields agrowin'
swing on down to San Antone
