Dance studio to visit local<br />

seniors<br />

On Saturday, Dec. 15<br />

more than 20 dancers from<br />

Heart & Sole Dance in Tinley<br />

Park are to donate a day<br />

of their time dancing, performing,<br />

and visiting with<br />

residents at four local senior<br />

centers.<br />

The ‘Holiday Elves Performance<br />

Team’ plans to<br />

dance and visit with residents<br />

at each center for<br />

about 1 hour. The events feature<br />

a special holiday routine<br />

the dancers have dedicated 6<br />

weeks to learning, followed<br />

by social dancing to several<br />

other holiday songs to entertain<br />

and delight the senior<br />

residents.<br />

Lou Malnati’s reopens with<br />

dining room<br />

Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria in<br />

Tinley Park began dine-in<br />

service on Dec. 3, according<br />

to press release from the<br />

Northbrook-based company.<br />

Previously the location<br />

at 9501 W. 171st Street offered<br />

carry out, delivery and<br />

catering. The business plans<br />

to offer season outdoor dining<br />

along with a cash bar<br />

and an event space for special<br />

location.<br />

Applications for the Village<br />

of Tinley Park’s 2019<br />

Benches on the Avenue are<br />

now being accepted until<br />

Feb. 1. The 16th annual<br />

public art program runs<br />

from May to October along<br />

Oak Park Avenue in downtown<br />

Tinley Park. Artists<br />

are asked to create unique,<br />

family friendly designs inspired<br />

by the 2019 theme<br />

“Prized Page Turners.”<br />

“Benches should be exciting,<br />

imaginative, three-dimensional<br />

works that depict<br />

some of the most extraordinary<br />

and captivating popular<br />

novels of all time,” the<br />

Village of Tinley Park said<br />

in an announcement.<br />

Those interested in participating<br />

should fill out the application<br />

form at TinleyPark.<br />

org/Benches with proposals<br />

and submit them to Village<br />

Hall at 16250 S. Oak Park<br />

Avenue. The applications<br />

also include information on<br />

instructions, guidelines, the<br />

selection process, and project<br />
