New pastor for Immanuel Lutheran
Staff Report
The Rev. Aaron Schellhas has
been named the next pastor of the
Immanuel Lutheran Church, 10731
W. LaPorte Road, in Mokena. He
will take over the position on Jan.
1. Schellhas is currently the pastor
at St. John’s Lutheran Church
in Woodstock. His wife and three
children will join him as he starts
this new position in Mokena. Until
Schellhas takes over, the vacancy
will be handled on a week-to-week
basis. The church has requested assistance
of other LCMS churches
in the area during this time to help
fill in.
Schellhas’ installation service are
scheduled to be held at 3 p.m. on
Jan. 13.
