<strong>Jumpei</strong> <strong>Kuroda</strong> was born in 1982 in Okayama, in Southern<br />
Japan. He studied the culinary arts in Osaka, where he also<br />
learned about international and European cooking.<br />
During and after his studies he worked in different restaurants<br />
in Osaka until, determined to learn about Italian culture<br />
and further his skills, he moved to Florence, where he worked<br />
and lived.<br />
He travelled widely and visited some of Europe’s most prestigious<br />
restaurants and spent time in important kitchens<br />
across Italy: in Udine, Ostuni and Alessandria, where he is currently<br />
Chef at the Michelin starred I Due Buoi.<br />
<strong>Jumpei</strong> <strong>Kuroda</strong>’s cooking is a synthesis of different traditions<br />
and cultures, amalgamated by an exceptionally unique personal<br />
experience. A profound respect for raw materials and<br />
the labours of the farmer, respected by <strong>Kuroda</strong> since he was<br />
a child, is evident in each dish he creates and composes.<br />
<strong>Jumpei</strong> <strong>Kuroda</strong> nasce nel 1982 a Okayama, nel sud del Giappone,<br />
e studia arti culinarie a Osaka, dove apprende la cucina<br />
internazionale ed europea. Durante e dopo gli studi lavora in<br />
alcuni ristoranti di Osaka, finché, determinato a conoscere la<br />
cultura italiana e a crescere professionalmente, si trasferisce<br />
a Firenze, città in cui vive e lavora.<br />
Da qui intraprende numerosi viaggi che gli permettono di conoscere<br />
alcuni dei più prestigiosi ristoranti europei e di lavorare<br />
in importanti strutture italiane: a Udine, a Ostuni e ad Alessandria,<br />
dove oggi è Chef del ristorante stellato I Due Buoi.<br />
La cucina di <strong>Jumpei</strong> <strong>Kuroda</strong> è sintesi di diverse tradizioni e<br />
culture amalgamate attraverso un percorso personale eccezionalmente<br />
unico. La sua prfonda attenzione per le materie<br />
prime è legata al lavoro contadino, che conosce e rispetta da<br />
quando è piccolo, ed emerge in ogni piatto da lui creato e<br />
composto.
