7. Gujarati Wedding:<br />
Gujarat is the land of lions and diamonds as well. Hence get ready to see<br />
some regal Gujarati wedding ceremonies. The main wedding ceremony<br />
usually commences with garland exchange between the bride and the groom.<br />
The only thing differs is this exchanging is performed twice. This ceremony as<br />
mentioned earlier is known by “Jaimala”. What another thing that distinguishes<br />
Gujarati weddings from other <strong>In</strong>dian weddings is “Mangal Pheras”. Unlike<br />
other <strong>In</strong>dian wedding, Gujarati couples have to take 4 rounds instead of 7<br />
around the holy fire. These four pheras connotes four different things which<br />
are “dharma”, “Artha”, “karma” and “moksha”.<br />
