Request For Proposal<br />

Scrap Metal Recycling Services<br />

The County of Stettler No. 6 is inviting all interested Contractors to submit<br />

Proposals to place bin(s) for collection of mixed scrap metals for pickup and<br />

disposal at a recognized recycling facility. This contract will be a 1-year contract.<br />

Proposals must be submitted with guaranteed price for removal of metals/<br />

tonne, along with GST tax and any costs to the County clearly marked.<br />

The County estimates an annual volume of 3-4 tonnes for approximately 3-4<br />

pickups per year.<br />

‘Additional Insured’ with respect to the haul operations prior to commencing<br />

any work for the County.<br />

Contractors must comply with the County of Stettler’s safety program and<br />

policies when on site and will receive an orientation prior to work onsite.<br />

The Contractor will secure all Road Protection Agreements and Haul Permits<br />

(where required).<br />

All metals must be hauled to a recyling facility for disposal. The Contractor<br />

will assume any and all damages and expenses incurred to comply with<br />

Alberta Environment regulations, etc.<br />

The County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all quotes and to<br />

waive irregularities and informalities at its discretion. The County reserves<br />

the right to accept a bid other than the lowest quote without stating reasons.<br />

The County further reserves the right to terminate the contract upon their<br />

discretion without any just cause and will not reimburse the Contractor for<br />

any lost revenue as a result.<br />
