“It was such a wonderful
experience. I was just stoked
to be captain. And it was such
a good feeling in camp and
winning on the final day.”
Maddie was event manager
for the resurrected 20
Beaches (ocean ski paddling)
last month. The event clashed
with the Ocean6 series on
December 15. “I will get
back into the swing of board
paddling in the fourth round
at Currumbin on January
11/12,” she said.
“It’s unfortunate I couldn’t
compete at North Wollongong
but I just love what I am doing
outside of board paddling.
“The 20 Beaches was a
massive success. We had
more than 300 entries and
everyone was impressed.”
