Now that Delray Beach is a rising star in the art, culture and social scene,<br />

it might seem a little difficult to find affordable activities, shops or<br />

restaurants. I am here to prove you wrong. Delray Beach<br />

offers a mix of high-end boutiques with laid-back<br />

restaurants, and events for the whole family or<br />

nightclubs for night owls. Here is what you can do<br />

in Delray Beach in <strong>January</strong> for $50 or less.<br />

The New Year is always the time when you reflect, change, improve,<br />

dwell and plan. If you want to take action and change<br />

your stars, this is the best time! <strong>January</strong> is International<br />

Change Your Stars Month and if you’re looking for some enlightenment,<br />

you’re covered. Mark your calendars for the Pink Floyd Laser<br />

Spectacular event and open your mind, and eyes, to the possibility<br />

of a really great evening. After more than 30 years of touring, The<br />

Pink Floyd Laser Spectacular has become a cult classic, presenting<br />

the music of Pink Floyd like you’ve never seen it before. Driven by<br />

cutting-edge, full-color lasers, high definition multi-screen video<br />

projection, concert quality sound and lighting effects, your senses<br />

aren’t going to know what hit them, but will definitely enjoy the ride.<br />

You will be able to view the show through specially designed prism/<br />

laser glasses and will be drawn into the production with the originally<br />

mastered sound recordings of Pink Floyd. The first half of the<br />

show is “Dark Side of the Moon” and the second half is “Best of Floyd.”<br />

The show is held on Saturday, <strong>January</strong> 19 from 8 to 10pm at the Pavilion<br />

at Old School Square. General admission tickets are $20 and<br />

you’ll need to bring your own chair, or spring for Premium seats for<br />

$40 and enjoy reserved seating with a chair. Changing Your Stars has<br />

The holidays are now over so there’s a good chance that your<br />

house looks a little bit empty without all of the holiday decorations.<br />

In an effort to burn off some of those wine and cookie<br />

<strong>January</strong> is International Creativity Month so if you want to get something<br />

homemade, or get your creative juices flowing, the 30th Annual<br />

Downtown Delray Beach Festival of the Arts is the perfect place. Held<br />

Saturday, <strong>January</strong> 19 and Sunday, <strong>January</strong> 20 from 10am to 5pm, the<br />

Festival showcases tons of vendors and a plethora of goodies. The<br />
