The USA Women’s Raft Team is governed by the United States Rafting Association and serves to promote and grow
the sport of women’s raft racing in the USA. In 2018, MTI helped send three women’s teams to the Worlds in Argentina,
including the first R4 Masters Team which has an average age of 54.
Underlining their mission to support all women chasing their dreams both on and off the river,
the team members come together to train and compete from across the country.
Team leader, Julie Sutton, is a professional river guide and an artist from Salida, CO. Her artwork (shown on this page)
reflects the beauty of the river coursing through the mountains and the uplifting spirit of teamwork.
