This majestic valley has provided a home to six<br />
generations of Rankins and an amazing ranch getaway<br />
to thousands of guests. Our ancestors established the<br />
cattle ranch during the days of the Civil War. We have<br />
been raising White Faced Hereford cattle on this ranch<br />
for over 150 years. In 1965 Helen Rankin, 3 rd generation,<br />
diversified the ranch by opening her home to guests from<br />
around the world. We now celebrate over 50 years of<br />
great ranch vacations.<br />
The past and the present blend so well here at the<br />
ranch. Our century old ranch home and barns are still the<br />
setting for your relaxing getaway which will be filled with<br />
fun activities. Guests enjoy horseback riding, fishing,<br />
swimming and hiking in our mountain and meadow cattle<br />
country. We serve three delicious home cooked meals,<br />
and your cozy cabin awaits you each evening. Your<br />
ranch day won’t be interrupted by ringing telephones or<br />
text messages. Things change slowly here in our world.<br />
We don’t have cell service in the valley which gives you<br />
and your family the rare opportunity to truly live in the<br />
moment.<br />
We love sharing our peaceful western lifestyle and<br />

Rankin Ranch…Where Family Traditions Begin<br />
Joy<br />
With each new family that arrives at the ranch a<br />
new tradition begins. This group of friends from<br />
Southern California has enjoyed two trips to the<br />
ranch. In their group there were eight different<br />
families and children ranging from age 5 to 12. They<br />
enjoyed the ranch from dawn ‘til dusk and beyond,<br />
there was something for everyone. We love<br />
seeing all of their smiling faces in the photos that<br />
Stephanie Wiley (www.stephaniewiley.com) shared<br />
with us, and hope that these “captured moments”<br />
will inspire you to come and experience the magic<br />
of Rankin Ranch.<br />

REGULAR SEASON<br />
Fun for all ages during the spring and summer months. All<br />
of our ranch activities are in full swing…horseback riding,<br />
children’s program with planned activities throughout the<br />
day, and fun evening activities for the entire family. The<br />
regular season is the perfect time for families, grandparents<br />
bringing their grandchildren and family reunions seeking<br />
ranch days packed with memorable family activities.<br />
A typical day at the ranch…<br />
7:30-9:00 Breakfast is served in the dining room.<br />
Morning horseback rides as posted.<br />
9:30-12:30 Children’s Activities throughout the<br />
morning (arts and crafts, games, and<br />
hiking)<br />
12:30 Lunch is served on the terrace.<br />
Afternoon horseback rides as posted.<br />
1:30-3:30 Children’s Program meets at the pool.<br />
5:30 Adult Patio Party<br />
5:30 Children’s Program meets in the<br />
recreation room for fun before dinner.<br />
6:30 Dinner is served in the dining room. After<br />
dinner the children go to feed the animals<br />
(adults are welcome to join in).<br />

OFF SEASON<br />
Quiet times at the ranch during the spring and fall seasons<br />
are perfect for a relaxing escape from your hectic schedule.<br />
Spring brings green grass and wildflowers, while fall has<br />
a gorgeous golden glow. Enjoy the comfortable lodging,<br />
delicious home cooked meals, beautiful trail rides and the<br />
peaceful ranch grounds. Couples and singles love this<br />
slower pace, however, families often join us and spend<br />
quality uninterrupted family time together during these<br />
times. We hold all of our typical ranch activities except for<br />
the children’s program. We offer a fun evening activity every<br />
other night. Spring and fall getaways offer a step away from<br />
your busy life into our quiet, peaceful ranch setting.<br />
