The Akshaya Patra Foundation is a mid-day meal NGO and the implementing partner of Government of<br />
India’s Mid-Day Meal Programme. The NGO is actively working <strong>to</strong>wards eliminating classroom hunger<br />
by providing nutritious mid-day meals <strong>to</strong> school-going <strong>child</strong>ren since 2000. Akshaya Patra has been<br />
recognised as the world’s largest NGO-run school lunch programme. Currently, Akshaya Patra is <strong>feed</strong>ing<br />
1,762,133 <strong>child</strong>ren in 14,702 Government and Government-aided schools in 40 locations of 12 states.<br />
HOW WE HELP CHILDREN ON EVERY SCHOOL DAY<br />
The national average of school working days in one academic year is 232 days. Akshaya Patra provides<br />
232 freshly cooked, healthy, and tasty meals <strong>to</strong> one <strong>child</strong> on each school day for an entire year. We<br />
diligently and optimally utilise every penny of your donation <strong>to</strong> benefit <strong>child</strong>ren with nutritious meals all<br />
