Your Serene Highness, the <strong>Principality</strong><br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>Liechtenstein</strong> is marking<br />
its <strong>300</strong> th anniversary. What<br />
are your feelings about this?<br />
I am absolutely delighted that<br />
we have been able to survive<br />
<strong>300</strong> <strong>years</strong> at the centre <strong>of</strong> this<br />
troubled continent. <strong>300</strong> <strong>years</strong> ago<br />
we were a member <strong>of</strong> the Holy<br />
Roman Empire <strong>of</strong> the German<br />
Nation, which consisted <strong>of</strong> a very<br />
large number <strong>of</strong> small states.<br />
While many <strong>of</strong> the former member<br />
states have now disappeared,<br />
we somehow survived, with a<br />
great deal <strong>of</strong> good fortune.<br />
JOYOUS OCCASION<br />
H.S.H. Prince Hans-Adam <strong>of</strong> <strong>Liechtenstein</strong><br />
is greatly looking forward to celebrating the<br />
anniversary.<br />
