Anyone who has visited the Plaza Circle Shopping
Centre in Highfields this year would have noticed
some new faces and a fresh shop front.
Husband and wife duo Jess and Josh Jones from
Jess Jones Real Estate had been planning the move
since mid last year and now have a permanent office,
more convenient for both themselves and
their clients.
The new office is located in the shop formally
occupied by One Stop Stationery Supplies, next
to BWS.
Mrs Jones said they have had plenty of people
stopping in to have a look at their new space.
“We have been planning since October and we
started fit out mid-December,” she said.
“Josh did most of the work himself and he did a
really good job.
“We have looked at a lot of places in Highfields
but we could see the potential here at this centre.
“We are excited about what is happening in this
area. There is a lot of growth and heaps of new
people,” Mrs Jones said.
DANCE CLASSES FROM 3 TO ADULT IN HIGHFIELDS
ENROL NOW FOR 2019
Pronounced ante-ky-nuss - Rhymes with shyness
Antechinus, often mistaken in
this area for common mice or rats,
is a small marsupialk, indigenous to
mainland Australia, Tasmania and
New Guinea. They resemble mice
with bristly fur.
The majority of Antechinus
species occur in Australia and only
two species have been described in
New Guinea.
They are sometimes also called
broad-footed marsupial mice,
pouched mice, route rat and/or
antechinus shrews.
However, these common names
are considered either regional or
archaic and the modern common
name for the animals is antechinus.
