Dhammajarinee Witthaya School
Educating girls to live in accord with dharma
and to create world peace

Our school Dhammajarinne Witthaya is the first and
only entirely free girls boarding school administered
by Buddhist nuns in Thailand.
We provide housing, clothing, food, school supplies, and
medical and dental care. We also organize scholarships
for students to attend university after graduation.

“I am from the Hill Tribe. My family are farmers. We grow rice. We don’t
really have enough food. We don’t have enough to eat. Since I was very
young I didn’t know anything. I couldn’t even speak Thai properly. I
couldn’t communicate with my friends. After a while at this school, I
improved my study and my grades are now on a good level. Practicing
meditation makes my mind clearer and improves my memory.”

The girls that are in our school are from
many rural provinces from Thailand.
They come from poor families, problem
families or they are in the at risk group,
or victims of domestic violence or sexual
abuse.

Sunsia, 7 years
Sunsia comes from a poor family in
rural Thailand

We began in 1990 with a small group of Buddhist nuns,
working in an impoverished area of Thailand. We
established a safe home and provided skill training for
30 orphans girls ages 12 to 15.
These girls had little or no hope for education or a
bright future.
Over the past 28 years, we have helped over 3000
young girls by giving them a safe home to live, loving
care and attention, education and the hope for a better
future.
Today the organization has grown to be
Dhammajarinee Witthaya School with 850 students
from kindergarden to year 12 .

All students meditate together two times a
day as part of their routine

7 days a week, 365 days a year…
Our school creates harmony and peace for
our world

We want to help many more girls in Thailand and
create a peaceful world.
We need your financial support to
complete two new Maharishi Vastu buildings for
our future generations.
You will be contributing to the completion of the
world’s largest Vastu Meditation Hall to host up
to 2000 students of the TM and TM sidhi
program. (This grand 2 story building is larger
than the two domes in Fairfield combined.)

classroom building
