The Law of Synthesis: The Will aspect. One of the three major laws. Although this law is almost impossible for any but the Buddhic faculty to understand the scope of this law, it demonstrates the fact that all things - abstract and concrete - exist as one. It is a unit of His thought, a thought form in its entirety, a concrete whole, and not the differentiated process that we feel our evolving system to be. It is the sum total, the centre and the periphery, and the circle of manifestation regarded as a unit. It is the primary law of a Heavenly Man. The law of attraction has full sway. The law of economy is transcended. Djwhal Khul Speaks: Within the Esoteric Philosophy, there are a variety of spiritual laws and principles that serve as its foundation and underpinning. Precepts such as the Law of Attraction, the Principle of Right Relationship, and the Law of Economy serve as guiding parameters on the long road to enlightenment. Yet of the many Laws Governing the Spiritual journey, there is perhaps no greater dictum than the Law of Synthesis. To understand the spiritual significance of Synthesis, we must first distinguish it from Unity, for often these two terms are confused with each other. Esoterically understood, Unity is the energy that impels all parts within a Living System to find their rightful place within that System. When we say, for instance, that the personality is learning to be subservient to soul, we are really stating that it is finding its right relationship to the Soul in Unity. The Soul in each of us is driven by the urge to Unite, first with the personality, then with the Larger Life that it is contained within. However, Synthesis transcends Unity while at the same time standing upon its shoulders. The Law of SYNTHESIS When all parts within a Living System or Organism rightly Unite, Synthesis emerges as a Transcendent Realization. It is a field of perception where all is recognized as truly and profoundly One Combined Force Field. When the personality has completely yielded to the Soul’s Guiding influence, Unity is achieved and the outer edges of Synthesis can then be dimly sensed. Once the personality has completely conformed to the wishes of the Soul (at the third initiation) the Monad is then consciously sensed for the first time. While the Soul is Governed by the Law of Attraction leading to Unitive Awareness, the Monad is Guided by the Law of Synthesis, thus revealing the Field of Universality. Indeed, Unity is the portal that leads to Synthesis, but does not create it. Unity must be earned through the Crucible of Soulful Transformation, while Synthesis IS. Therefore the Evocation of the Will, for disciples particularly, the new and most necessary development, as I often said, the average aspirant confounds Will with determination, with fixed intention, with self-will and one-pointed attention. He or she does not realise that the Will is that Divine Aspect in man that puts him or her en rapport with and then controlled by Divine Purpose, intelligently understood in time and space and implemented by the Soul as the expression of Loving Application. The mode ‘Par Excellence’ by which the Will can be developed is the cultivation of the recognition of the Divine Plan down the ages. The Law of Attraction and Repulsion is fundamentally, the Law that describes the compelling force of attraction that holds our Solar System to the Sirian. That holds our planets revolving around our central unit, the Sun. That holds the lesser systems of atomic and molecular matter circulating around a centre in the Planet. That holds the matter of all physical plane bodies, and that of the subtle bodies coordinated around their microcosmic centre. The general Law, which produces cyclic effect, is the Law of Attraction and Repulsion, of which the subsidiary law is the Law of Periodicity, and of Rebirth. Cyclic Evolution is entirely the result of the activity of matter, and of the Will or Spirit. It is produced by the interaction of active matter and moulding Spirit. Every form holds hid a Life. Every life constantly reaches out after the similar life latent in other forms. When Spirit and matter sound the same note Evolution will cease. The Law of ATTRACTION When the note sounded by the form is stronger than that of Spirit, we have attraction between forms. When the note sounded by Spirit is stronger than that of matter and form, we have Spirit repelling form. Here we have the basis for the battlefield of life, and its myriad’s of intermediate stages. Read More + The Law of ECONOMY The Law of Economy is the Third Law and is the Law which adjusts all that concerns the material and spiritual Evolution of the Cosmos to the best possible advantage and with the least expenditure of force. It makes perfect each atom of time, and each eternal period, and carries all onward, and upward, and through, with the least possible effort, with the proper adjustment of equilibrium, and with the necessary rate of rhythm. Additional notes: A man is governed by the Law of Attraction, is evolved through the Law of Economy, and is coming under the Law of Synthesis. Economy governs the material process with which he is not so much consciously concerned. Attraction governs his connection with other units or groups, and synthesis is the Law of his inner Self, of the life within the form. Man finds his place within the group form.
