2018 Summer Camp Guide! 

New for this year are some fantastic programs 

where we take a closer look at alternative energy, 

sports science, drones, art history and the science 

behind super powers! 

We can’t wait for this summer’s camps that will be held at Snapology’s 

Discovery Center in Uptown, as well as around the Twin Cities at some 

absolutely fabulous partner locations like Minnehaha Academy, Blake 

School, Kiddywampus and more. Discovery Center camps can be 

attended as morning or afternoon sessions, or you can combine the 2 

themes for the week and have your kiddo bring a lunch and learn and 

build all day!

This year we’ve got a ton of great camps happening 

at our new Discovery Center in Uptown every week of 

the summer, as well as at some of our favorite schools 

and educational partners around the Twin Cities. We’ve 

got you covered for kiddos as young as 3 and as old 

as 14 - Robotics, Coding, Science, Technology, Themed 

Camps, Pre-K, Engineering, Architecture and more!

How Snapology Camps Work 

Snapology Camps Locations 

CURRICULUM: Snapology camps provide a perfect mixture of learning and 

fun. We incorporate the education, social skills and STEAM concepts into the 

creating, inventing, games and fun. All of the learning principles taught in our 

programs are mapped to Common Core Standards and many are mapped to 

Next Generation Science Standards. 

CAMP TIMING: Each week has numerous camps that are as short as 3 hours 

and as long as 35 hours. 

FULL DAY CAMPS: Almost all of the camps taking place at our Discovery 

Center can be registered for as either morning or afternoon camps, or combined 

into a full day/full week camp that cover 2 different themes that work well 

together. There are separate registration links for morning/afternoon/full day. 

Children will bring bagged lunches to eat with the group each day. 

AGES: The schedule has something for everyone! Short Pre-K camps, 

educational and fun camps for kids going into Kindergarten, awesome grade 

school camps, and programs designed specifically for middle schoolers as well. 

We tried to spread them all out evenly throughout the summer and around the city. 

PARTNER LOCATIONS: We’re back at Hale, Kiddywampus and Minnehaha 

Academy this year, which we’re super excited about! We’re also going to be 

running camps at all 3 Blake School campuses, The Friends School, St. Paul 

JCC and Crystal Rec Center. 

EXERCISE AND ENERGY: While Snapology’s camps include some games 

and activities that get the kids moving, we’re firmly in the academic camp arena. 

However, most of our partners provide physical camps that can be paired with 

Snapology camps, so your children can get some energy out and learn and 

build as well. Our Discovery Center is 1 block away from Whittier School, which 

happens to have a fantastic park and field. We will offer families the option of 

having their children go over to the park with our staff for 15-20 minute breaks in 

the morning and afternoon to run a bit.

Young students build fun and simple models using DUPLO® blocks. By playing with 

and manipulating the models, they experience pulleys, levers, gears, wheels and axles 

while exploring energy, buoyancy, and balance. Classes include free-building time

will program and modify their robot to complete challenges set up on a large game 

board modeled after the town of Dalto, CA. [Prior robotics experience is not necessary.

SNAPOLOGY VISION: 

Children are meant to learn through play. When children are actively 

engaged in hands-on, interactive learning activities, their creativity 

flourishes and they show a greater interest in school. At Snapology we 

help your child grow up with a thirst for knowledge. How do we do it? 

Snapology engages children ages 1-14 using LEGO® bricks, K’Nex and 

technology. While the kids are having fun with familiar toys, laptops and 

iPads, we sneak in the educational concepts. 

RESEARCH BASED 

Our approach is based on proven research; that childrens’ best learning experiences 

come from actively designing, creating, interacting and inventing. Snapology activities 

encourage social skills and teamwork, while teaching science, technology, engineering, 

art, math and literacy concepts. 

Snapology’s flexible curriculum allows teachers to adapt to the needs of each unique 

group of students while allowing children to progress and explore at their own pace. 

The curriculum is designed to benefit all students - gifted, traditional, and special needs 

students including sensory and autism spectrum. 

ROBOTICS FOR ALL AGES! 

Snapology provides interactive Robotics programs for children ages 3-14 using LEGO® 

bricks. Students in our robotics programs learn pseudo-coding, coding, robotics and 

engineering principles. Using fun topics and themes, such as animals, games, space 

and battle machines, we embrace children’s interest and curiosity to guide them 

through robotics and engineering principles. Our programs provide the best mix of fun 

and education for your child. In fact, most kids have so much fun in our programs, they 

don’t even realize how much they are learning. 

LEGO®- THEMED CLASSES, CAMPS & WORKSHOPS 

Snapology’s themed programs are designed to promote creative play, teamwork and 

social skills. Through the use of popular topics like Minecraft, Star Wars & Superheroes, 

students are engaged a variety of theme-focused activities while learning engineering 

and math principles. Snapology’s goal is to put purpose to their building through 

blueprinting and idea sharing.Our themed programs use LEGO® bricks, K’Nex and 

other interactive building toys to engage children and spark their creativity. 

STEM CAMPS FOR PRE-SCHOOLERS 

In Snapology’s preschool programs, children ages 2-6 engage in fun, educational 

play. At Snapology we understand that children are meant to learn through play. Our 

programs incorporate DUPLO® blocks and are designed to inspire creativity and 

enhance fine motor skills while teaching lessons such as letter recognition, phonics, 

writing skills, story telling, basic engineering and robotics. That’s right, we offer robotics 

as young as 3 years old. We understand the importance of inspiring kids at young age 

to help them reach their full potential.
